Good morning!
Am feeling much better today. Whatever was hovering left after I slept on and off most of the day.
I did get copy work done yesterday. The man took care of delivering them.
The ceiling is 3/4 finished. Hard to believe the difference it makes in that room. Will post photos when finished.
I’m in desperate need of a haircut. Perhaps I will wander west today and get that taken care of. The new phone is getting better to use. Still not comfortable with it and all the new little things it does. It’s almost as if the phone makers want to keep everyone busy figuring things out instead of actually living life.
Once again, I am reading Farmer Girl on FB. She has a gift with words.

7 straight hours of sleep last night.
Very much needed after running to the midwife 8 times yesterday. Two new babies (different parents) I know of as yet… Naomi… 6# 15 oz, Esther… 7#6 oz… In the Amish community, these two girls will think of each other as twin. They will even refer to each other as my twin.
Between those runs, I took my special school girls to see a girl who is slowly dying from a genetic disease. They spent the morning visiting and singing.
The Catholic Young Girls group delivered my lunch yesterday; it was delicious, and I even received a flower bouquet. Today should be a piece of cake after yesterday.
Kitchen reno continues. All ceiling boards have been cut and stacked. Ready to be nailed in place in the next few days. I found the perfect ceiling fixture and may have to take the man back with me to see if it would work in there.
The forecast calls for rain today. Frankly, I hope that happens. We are so dry.
The new phone, I’m getting it finally. This new tech stuff is mind-boggling.

Got a different phone yesterday… have I mentioned how inconvenient it is learning a new phone? I waited long as possible but the hearing aides needed the updates that my old one couldn’t provide. Funny how phone companies get you in a position where you must purchase the new instead of providing an update for the old. Oh well, if this one lasts as long as the last one, it will be the last one I have to purchase.

Belated Birthday greetings to my nephew, Nathan, Happy 47th! Hope life in NY is treating you well.

St. Walter reminds us that honors and titles mean nothing if we don’t have our hearts and spirits set on God. Lord, teach me to strive for the honors and titles that please you and to use my power to fight injustice.

Meditations for Each Day, pg 109, The Christian Formation of Character. Our temperament is often a burden to ourselves and can at times be the source of annoyance to others. If we do nothing about it, it can be the cause of failings or of extremes of behaviour on our part, which we bitterly regret afterwards. It is necessary, therefore, to form character in accordance with Christian principles. Matthew 11:29b learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. I wonder why the underline hasn’t been stressed more?

The weekend was a good one. Reno in the kitchen is moving right along. I’m going to love the new ceiling when it’s finished. I’m always amazed at how even just a good paint job changes the way something looks. So fortunate I married a man who knows how to use a hammer.

Yesterday, the man began working on the kitchen ceiling. Putting in the boards that the car siding will be attached to. I was busy getting Easter letters written and boxes shipped off. The Resurrection Lilly greens have popped through the Nground and are waving in the breeze. Yesterday the temps made it 75°, how’s that for March in Wisconsin? Had a nice text visit with Kris; he purchased a tractor. Sent another text to my half-sister in Montana, making sure the fires out there weren’t close to her.

Napping will fill my day today. Playing catch-up.

Everyone is obliged to do the spiritual works of mercy. But it does not excuse you from the exercise of material works of charity whenever that is possible .

Yesterday’s doctor appointment was rescheduled to May
The kitchen… hopefully something will happen in there today. I really don’t want to run out of steam, nor do I want to continue to live in the remodel mess. Yesterday was the 1st day of Spring, and if we don’t get these things finished it won’t happen till fall. We are so close to completion it hurts.
In mid-April, we will head to TX and spend a couple of days with Dennis.
Early May will find me spending a couple of days with a dear friend in IL.
Family History needs to be worked on
I need a new phone. This one is showing signs of aging and cannot be updated software-wise.
This morning I’m making a quick pick up/drop off and will do the return about 5 tonight.

Let’s think about the United States Postal Service
Rumor has it they want to increase the cost of a stamp to $1
As they are crying about how they are not being utilized as much, not having enough money to make it much longer.
It all boils down to service…
They are not providing the Customer Service
Therefore, people are going elsewhere.
Improving service creates more business and creates more revenue.
That pretty much covers it don’t you think?
