St. Marie Bernadette Soubirousdemonstrates that God may use the weakest among us to bring His healing message to the world. Father, open my heart and my mind to all miracles and apparitions sent from You so that I may rejoice in Your everlasting love.
Meditations for Each Day, pg. 144, The Meaning of Easter. Examine the depth of your soul and discover the sin which you are most accustomed to commit and the virtue you are principally lacking. It will be a hard battle which will necessitate a constant vigilance and a readiness to begin again each time you realise you have fallen. It will require an unfailing spirit of prayer, but the final victory will bring you such happiness that worldly pleasure will seem empty and illusory by comparison.
Scripture Readings Day 16 of He is Risen! Romans 6:5For if we have grown into union with him through a death like his, we shall also be united with him in the resurrection.e Matthew 26:53-54Do you think that I cannot call upon my Father and he will not provide me at this moment with more than twelve legions of angels? 5 4But then how would the scriptures be fulfilled which say that it must come to pass in this way?”
St. Cesar de Bus, we learn to respect and support both men and women who devote their lives to spreading the faith. Jesus, help me to celebrate all people, regardless of gender, who serve you and spread your teachings.
WOW, wow! The hail, baseball-sized, caused lots of damage. The man’s truck is probably totaled. I, on the other hand no damage, and none on the other vehicles or the house either. God is good. During all of this, I was driving home from Readstown and made the decision to take 131 instead of 14… large hail on 14. Got to Viola, saw a huge black cloud in the sky, thinking, well, that doesn’t look good, a weather alert went off on the phone. All we were experiencing was a slight drizzle, and little of that. Drove into LaFarge, saw people standing around the yards visiting. No wind, no rain, no hail. Continued on. Later, finding out a tornado had touched down moments before we got to LaFarge. Rivers of water running in the ditches, small pea-sized hail on the ground. We experienced a bit of rain sprinkling the windshield.

St. Hermenegild shows that our first bound must be to God and to reject family members who oppose God’s will. Jesus, give me the strength to make Your commandments and Your will my objective, no matter how it may strain my other relationships.

Today St Stannislaus teaches that we should be able to depend on Church leaders to oppose corrupt political leaders. Lord give me the grace to support and assist all Church leaders who fight injustice, discrimination, and corruption in the world. Yesterday… St Fulbert taught us that mentors early in life can have a powerful influence on spiritual growth and learning. Father, give me the insight to know that I may do a great deal of good in Your name by mentoring and encouraging young people.
Meditations for Each Day, pg. 137, Jesus is condemned to Death. When we are confronted by injustice or by sin of any kind, do we act with Christian strength of character or do we waver like Pilate in an effort to serve two masters?
Scripture Readings for Day 11 of He is Risen Isaiah 53:8-9Seized and condemned, he was taken away. Who would have thought any more of his destiny? Meditations for Each Day, pg. 132, The Repentance of St. Peter. Two apostles sinned seriously… Peter denied Jesus, and Judas betrayed Jesus. Both regretted their offence. Peter was repentant, Judas was remorse of despair. Peter admitted his sin, repented, and returned to Jesus. Judas admitted his sin, remained full of despair, and killed himself. Peter accepted Jesus’ forgiveness; Judas never asked Jesus for forgiveness.
