Morning! Wonderful visit yesterday with the man’s first cousin Jim and some of his siblings. Its been way too long since we’ve done that. Today an early run to Boscobel, the regular workshop pick ups and drop offs. Then to the office for copy work things and work on a project.

Today’s Ponder… Lord, thank you for delivering me from what could have been and wasn’t. Sometimes we are so caught up in what is happening we forget to contemplate what could have and didn’t. That in and of itself is sometimes the answer to the prayer we think God is not responding to.
Morning! A bit late in starting today. This must mean I slept longer, right? Um, no. What it means is the 20 times I got up during the night kept me tired enough to sleep a bit longer. Ever have those moments when you just cannot turn off your mind? It was one of those nights. My mind wandered from a list of to-dos for today, to questioning the damage done by porn, to planning a trip to see my VDF, to wondering how my unheard from children are doing, mixed with multiple trips to the BR because my body could not understand it should void everything at one time instead of 5. The man is planting more flowers this morning. Miller’s greenhouse on 33 is selling 50% off. I will probably go get more. One cannot have too many flowers.

Meditations for Each Day, pg. 210, SolitudeIt can easily happen that worldly objects dazzle the mind and enchant the heart, so that anyone who is greatly occupied with them does not see or experience God in any way. God’s voice is heard in silence and in solitude, and we must listen for it if we wish to have any ease of conversation with Him. It is fatal to allow ourselves to be deafened by the noise of the world and never to listen for the voice of God which speaks within us. Wow, isn’t that quite the statement? No wonder today’s world has such issue with faith. “Bacci” died in 1971. His book was initially published in 1959. In the book he wrote “May God and the Blessed Virgin bless my labour so that it may be the source of good for many souls.” It has been such a source for me since 2021.

Morning! Yesterday was glorious, simply glorious. The laundry was washed, hung outside, folded and put away. The front porch was cleaned, arraigned, and used. Bible project completed. A/C units installed. House flowers moved to porch, they need repotting and care still. Today I will see my reflexologist, of which I look forward to. Searching for a good plan to spend a few days with a VDF continues. There are a couple of packages arriving in the next few days. I am hoping one of them are my labels so I can complete that project by Tuesday morning. Today I pray for CMom requests. Also hope to get the workout room in the garage in order. Time’s wasting.

Morning! Wahooooooo! Yippee! I am home… for the entire day. This is simply amazing. My to-do list is long but I’m excited knowing that it will be completed today. The other day I was so fortunate to see my friend Emma. She married and moved to Kentucky several years ago, has two children (that I finally got to see) and it looks as if there is another on the way. I just wanted to hug her so badly but there were too many people around for that. The man will be using my SUV today. Will make his trip to Augusta much more enjoyable. Will be able to finish up a small project I’ve been working on. I’m using washee tape to separate the different sections of the Bible. You know the Wisdom Books from the Prophets etc. I’m liking it. Perhaps I’ll even get another unfinish project completed.

Today is another fishing day. Heard this morning Richard made it to Nairobi Hoping he has a good visit with his family. Very nice supper and conversation last evening with our neighbor and our son. We grilled out and spent time on the patio. Nice to just sit and relax. Need to get my flowers in the ground.
Memorial Day... remembering those US Military personnel who died so that we could be free. May God have mercy on them and may they rest in peace. This observance began in 1868 then known as Decoration Day.
