Today’s ponder is “Do whatever He tells you.” (John 2) Should that also say “if you hear him”? It just seems that today we don’t hear much of anything with all the buzz in our heads. We’re kept in a perpetual state of noise, a constant state of “bis.ee.ness”, and all-encompassing chaos, panic, and worry. From constant propaganda ads on TV, radio, and internet. Our economy is in the shitter and we are so blasted with propaganda we think (are told) it is in the best shape ever. Our food costs have skyrocketed, yet we fail to garden (too much work) and the seed makers patent their stuff making it hard to save seed. The utility costs are ridiculous, as is the vehicle fuel. Our farmers struggle with high costs, government regulations, and in the end distribution. America is being overrun with the idea that everything is free. NOTHING in this world is FREE… absolutely NOTHING. Someone is paying for “that free” thing you get. Few live with the “living for the glory of God” idea any longer… since 1973 the public school system has indoctrinated the students in a “if it’s good for me it’s a good” idea. We are now seeing those results in the progressive, gimme generation. Ahhhh don’t get me started this morning.

NT… has been interesting. It has been helpful but very time-consuming. I knew this from the start, so I can’t complain.
IF… coming along slow, weight loss happening but slow. I struggle with amount of liquid that needs consuming, otherwise no real difficulties.
Cpap… being used nightly, still hate it. That, too, is time-consuming.
More items are being added to the garage sale pile. Hoping to get it all to the garage by end of next week.

why healthy, able people refuse to kneel at the rail to receive our Lord in the Eucharist?
They have no issue with lining up with their hands out but avoid kneeling at the rail to receive our Lord on the tongue. I can totally understand no kneeling if there isn’t a kneeler present (with my knees and age someone would have to lift me up off the floor). Yet two steps over one can kneel at the rail, raise their face to heaven, and receive our Lord on the tongue. I remember doing the line when it was almost forbidden to kneel but now when available I kneel. I kneel because this God/man deserves my respect, deserves my submission to him as King, deserves preferential treatment, deserves my acknowledgment that He is far above me in importance.
Contrary to apparent popular opinion we are not on the same level with God. It must pain him to be treated with such disregard for his holiness, his sacrifice, his power.
