Morning Offering given

Lord grant that I may always allow myself to be guided by you,
always follow your plans, and perfectly accomplish your holy will.
Grant that in all things, great and small,
today and all the days of my life, I may do
whatever you may require of me.
Help me to respond to the slightest prompting of your grace
so that I may be your trustworthy instrument.
May your will be done in time and eternity,
by me, in me, and through me.
Amen.

St Marcellus is admired for understanding that when we make god our priority, we can also serve our country. God of Light, when I am confused about how to serve you and my community, show me your way.

Meditations for Each Day, pg. 435, Humility, Tranquillity, and a Christian Attitude
There may have been in our past lives periods of spiritual confusion and unrest which left their mark upon us. There may have been moments of human weakness when we yielded to the attractions of sin and fell miserably. On these occasions we have only to humble ourselves in the presence of God, to be sorry for our lapses, to ask Jesus for forgiveness, and to resolve with the help of God’s grace never to sin again. In this way we can regain our peace of mind.

Scripture Reading for Day 30 of Overcoming Fear
Psalm 128:2-3 I cry aloud to God, I cry to God to hear me. 3 On the day of my distress I seek the Lord; by night my hands are stretched out unceasingly;aI refuse to be consoled.
1 Peter 3:14-17 But even if you should suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you. Do not be afraid or terrified with fear of them, 15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope,f 16 but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame. 17 For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the will of God, than for doing evil.

The weather! Isn’t it outstanding? The sunshine, the perfect temps of the day lends to getting this accomplished and ready for the soon to come winter weather. I’m totally enjoying this fall season.
The co-op mill in town is being torn down. I see the story made the Cashton Record for this week.
Time moves back to Standard time (my it remain there) early Sunday morning.
The acrylic panels need to be put up again on the front porch. The plastic on the back porch. The fountain emptied of water and the small fountain put away. I saw a few hoses that still need to be rolled up and put away. The remaining flowerpots emptied and stacked. The Mary statue could use a good cleaning, brushing, and repainting for next spring and the shrubs around her trimmed to 8″. My morning may allow for that to be done. This leaves a good cleaning to be done on the front porch, with cushion covers removed and laundered, and porch furniture hosed down. Maybe we should leave one hose out for that.

Know you are prayed for.
