Today we remember Hazel Cummings who passed away on this day in 1988. May she rest in peace.

St. Narcissus demonstrates God will protect and guide us when our enemies place obstacles before us. Loving Father, gather me into your arms and keep me safe from those who would hurt me.

Today in my day to pray for Cmom. Let me know your petitions.

Meditations for Each Day, pg. 433, Human Praise and Censure
A certain amount of reflection makes us aware that we are what we are before God, and nothing more. Human praise adds nothing to us, just as human criticism subtracts nothing. In either case me ourselves remain as we were beforehand. Unfortunately, while we realize this in theory, we do not recognize it in practice.

Scripture Reading for Day 29 of Overcoming Fear.
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received a spirit of adoption, through which we cry, “Abba,* Father!”k
Proverbs 19:23 The fear of the LORD leads to life; one eats and sleeps free from any harm.

Quite the light shows last evening, but no rain came with it, only wind. Considering what is happening out west I’m thinking winter weather will be upon us soon. My parka and boots are already out. It is time to get serious about the winter weather boxes getting into the vehicles. As well as getting the porch screen panels covered. The man put the yard to bed yesterday.
