Beautiful Morning here. A bit overcast and cool but great fishing weather. Or so I was told by the 7 men/boys I took to the SMRT Bus this morning and whom I will pick up tonight. The normal workshop run today but next week there is no workshop. I am grateful for that. Am working on a time frame to get with a VDF. It has been way too long since we’ve seen each other. Have an awesome day!

Good Morning!
Phew…quite the light & boomer show last evening. Much needed rain fell as I slipped into a deep slumber that lasted over 6 hrs. Unusual for me to sleep that long. Had a lovely evening of conversation and great food with an old friend in a new dive bar in Elroy. Great food with catch up conversations and old friends is an awesome combo. We must do it more often.
Today should be relatively uncomplicated. 0715 pick up, 0900 pick up, 1530 return. The rest of the day will be filled with sending UPS and certified letters. The truck will be gone between 10 & Noon. I plan to be here when that happens. Perhaps that’s the time frame I should use to write letters.
Contemplating the state of the Catholic Church. At present that brings with it confusion. Pope Leo speaks perfect English yet chose to live most of his adult life in a foreign country. He seems to have taken on Pope Francis’ ideology. This confuses me as I cannot follow this line of thinking while reading church history. Perhaps I am not supposed to. NOTE: Catholic Organizations for Renewal (CRO) which is who worked/s on Synod and Synodality is compiled of the following organizations… Call to Action, Catholics for Choice, Dignity USA, Ecumenical Catholic Communication, Future Churc, Heal Our Church, New Ways Ministry, Quixote Center, Rapport, Roman Catholic Women priests, Equal Writes SE PA WOC, Women Church Convergence Ordain Women… how are any of these organizations in line with church?

I’m off early today for a 6:30 pick up in Boscobel. Then my normal Monday routine with the workshop morning & afternoon, with a 1230 pkup tucked in there because I don’t know how to say no. P.O. to send off a registered letter. Linds to send off UPS. Looks like rain on and off all day. We really need it we are very dry but sigh it makes me lazy. Wonderful visit with P&T last evening. We really should do it more often. The outside concrete sink is in place. Looking forward to using it for plants and produce. Washing machine filter removed, cleaned, and returned to machine.
Today we are praying for Dale’s health to recover if it be God’s will. The office is clean, the house is a mess, but the laundry is caught up. Can’t have everything.

Mary is called the Star of the Sea because, even as sailors are guided into port by means of a star, so Christians are guided towards Heaven by means of Mary. This absolute guarantee of the protection of our heavenly Mother should increase our trust and lead us in every difficulty and temptation. It should not however, result in an unhealthy attitude of spiritual inactivity. That would be the height of filial ingratitude.
