Morning Offering given
“May this prayer remind me that every gift comes from You.
Let my words and actions show respect for Your creation.
With humble spirit, I give thanks.
May peace fill my thoughts.
May light fill my soul.
May I walk in wholeness again.
Guide my steps like the stars guide the night traveler.
Speak softly to my heart.
Give me wisdom that is calm and clear.
Let me choose what is right, not what is easy.
Amen.”

Meditations for Each Day, by Antonio Cardinal Bacci, pg. 340, Pride is Robbery
“When we are proud, we steal from God. Everything which we are and have, both in the natural and supernatural order, is a gift from God. Therefore, when we claim the credit for ourselves, we take from Hin that which really belongs to Him. (1Cor: 4:7) Pride is a very grave sin. When we reflect on the matter, it becomes quite clear that pride is the basis of every sin. When a man disobeys the law of God, he prefers sin to God. Sin therefore is always an act of rebellion against God.” St. Agustine points out, the first sin was one of pride, and it changed an angel into a demon.

Psalm 139:3-4 You sift through my travels and my rest; with all my ways you are familiar. 4 Even before a word is on my tongue, LORD, you know it all.
Isaiah 6:3 One cried out to the other: “Holy, holy, holy* is the LORD of hosts! All the earth is filled with his glory!” 4At the sound of that cry, the frame of the door shook and the house was filled with smoke.* c
Good Morning!
Today will be a late morning start for me. For this I am truly grateful
The boy rolled in last evening after a month of working in Missouri. He’ll be here a few days to take care of things and will head out again on another job. It is good to see him. I have missed seeing his smile.
Not sure what the man has on his schedule today, but the yard is mowed, the garden is weeded, and produce is picked.
I leave about 10:30 this morning for a few quick things.
Sunday morning our Adoration will turn into 2 hrs. every week, instead of every other. If you haven’t spent time in Adoration at St. Theresa‘s in Union Center please consider it. Our time there is filled with peace and calmness.
Author, Rosa Nauchette Carey is worth a look. Hamblin Garland is another.
The end of the liturgical year is fast approaching. It dawns on me that I have been dusting lightly over my time with God. You know, the quick minimum requirement, a murmured prayer here and there, attendance at Mass on Sunday only, the thought oh I don’t have enough time to do that, I’m sure you get it. Nuff said.
Know you are prayed for.
