Small scattering of snow, what we had previously melted in the warm-up after Christmas Day. Only 2 more days on this heart monitor… of course, there was nothing to record.
Vicks to the feet took care of the foot swelling that lurked around.
The artic blast creates issues with the joints. Brings to mind “The Golden Years” poem by Howard Kern.
Looking at a quick house pick-up, some picture hanging, a quick car vacuum (I know crazy huh), office tidy, and laundry folding. I have to tell you that this Home planner is a great resource. It gives me little things to do each day that keep my house in order. That it also includes bible & prayer time is even a better plus.

Scripture readings in the article are worth the read to put it into perspective 1 Kings 16; 18; 21; 2 Kings 9:37; Revelation 2:19-25. Although the author is not Catholic, I think this article is something worth reading and pondering. If for no other reason than to examine myself and my behavior.
The man and I are lining up our away times for the year. We’ve requested 3 dates at the Lake, one in Texas, and another in Montana. They have been duly noted in our planners.

Opened, cleared, and ready to begin. The old wall and plaster board still need to be hauled out. Hoping a few nephews take pity on us. It would be a 10 minute job for them.
Small bedroom painted photo coming soon once it is in order to use.
I’m amazed at how things look after everything is removed. The floors are going to be a major issue. I question if it is worth the effort.

Whether or not the songwriter had meaning for the song and this was the meaning, Christmas is a beginning, a new beginning. We know Christ died for us, the Old & New Testaments were inspired by God, we are to practice the virtues of faith, hope, and charity, and we have the Gospels to give us inspiration and boundaries to achieve our relationship with Christ. the repetition of the song reminds us that each day we are given those things and more to keep us going. It tells us that Christ is with us, there to help us on our journey, is so invested in us that he gives us help as we need it.
