Say a prayer for the woman who was running away from a domestic situation, hit and killed by passing car. Say another for my son D who saw the whole thing and couldn’t save her.

Family history ready for pick up late afternoon. Paper trash burned, other trash readied -the man dropped it off. Maid taken home, ice cutter dropped off, copy work dropped off. Quick trip to Mauston to pick up a used printer. Ink ordered. Found a fabulous St Vincent’s there. Neat, tidy, good prices, clean, and organized. That’s a 1st for me at at St Vinny’s.

Restless night, poor sleep, and no comfortable spot found. Sigh, hate it when that happens. Back to the grind for both of us today. The past few weeks have been great and much has been accomplished but the lazy life must end, times a wastin. On the home today list…bathroom cleaning- need I say more?

Today I tackle the fridge, stovetop, & microwave… all those little science projects will be lost, and that sticky stuff will disappear. My hair needs to be cut, photos should be picked up from the processor, and Bote copy work needs delivery to the printing company.

Today is Epiphany…
The Magi arrive at the house of Jesus Matthew 2:1-12
Read Esther 2 and Job 13
Offer a prayer for MMc regarding clarity on his calling
Memory Verse – Colossians 3:12-13 – Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, _¹³ bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do.

As you read today about the Magi please note a couple of things 1) Joseph doesn’t appear to be present, 2) Jesus is a child, not an infant, 3) They are in a house, not a stable, 4) The Magi began their journey when the star appeared at the birth of Jesus. 5) An angel warns Joseph to flee with his family to Egypt. They remain there until Herod dies. If you go on to read vs 16 you will note Herold killed all the male children aged 2 (Murder of the Innocents) and younger. Doing this because of the time frame the Magi had told him about seeing the star. We do ourselves a disservice by shoving all these things into one small day instead of noting the time frame.
