Looking forward to a peaceful, productive day. A bit of running around this morning and then office detail till it is done. Porch plants need water, and birdfeeders need refills. The man did the lawn yesterday. Flowerbeds need tending today. Hope the burning barrel is finished soon. I have stacks of things that need to be burned. PCCW meeting tonight at 6.
Requesting prayers for MJC who is going through a difficult time right now.
SURRENDER PRAYER God, myFather, I thank you for all that you are, and all that you do for me through your son Jesus Christ. I praise you for my life, for your mercy and for your Eucharist. In Jesus’ name, Father, I place myself entirely in your Heart. I surrender to you my whole self, my heart, my mind, my memory, my imagination, my will, my emotions, my passions, my body, my sexuality, my desire for human approval, my weaknesses, my desires, my sins. I surrender every person in my life to you. I surrender every situation in my life to you. I surrender every relationship I am in to you. I surrender every concern I have to you. I surrender every fear I have to you. I surrender every doubt I have to you. I surrender all confusion I have to you. I surrender all sadness I am experiencing in my heart to you. I surrender all my wounds to you. I surrender all anxiety and worry I have to you. I surrender all that deceives me in my heart to you. I trust you to care for me and others in a perfectly loving way. As I have emptied myself, and surrendered everything to you, I ask you now, Father, to fill me with your Holy Spirit and all the gifts and fruits of your Spirit. Holy Spirit you are the source of love, hope, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, tenderness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. Purify my desires. Help me to open my heart to you. Help me to become perfectly receptive as a pure child. Help me to believe in your love for me. Help me to hope in your love. Help me to receive from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus all grace and virtues necessary for me to become the person you created me to be. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your son, God Almighty Father. O Most Holy Immaculate Virgin Mary. I entrust this prayer to your Heart, and ask you to press it to your wounded heart and intercede for me to your Son Jesus. Please help me to be as you are, a perfect disciple, an obedient servant, a true child of God. Amen

Memorial Day (Decoration Day), began as a Southern holiday celebrating African American Freedom, the day was set to occur on May 30th but that was changed in 1968 so that there could be a 3-day weekend. A customary moment of silence takes place at 3PM (designated by the National Moment of Remembrance Act 2000.

Book… The Chapel Veil by Black & Sparks, Sophia Press… arrived while I was gone. Quick, easy read about why to veil. I received it free, by just asking Sophia Press for it.
Templates completed for labels. Tx you AB for helping me. I will see how they print after mass.
The man has done an awesome job on the yard this year.
Lawn chairs need to be sandblasted. Just need to find a place that does that.
We all knew this, experienced it, thought it, and discussed it. But finally, for you naysayers, this morning’s news from The Epoch Times puts it all out there… The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), headed by the impeached Alejandro Mayorkas, recently proposed a new rule. In a statement announcing the rule, DHS unwittingly revealed that it has not been doing background checks on these millions of illegal immigrants in order to immediately deport those with criminal records or terrorism ties. Instead, they have been leaving that determination until the asylum hearing, which occurs many years down the road. In the meantime, they remain in the U.S. awaiting the hearing.
Thank you very much government workers, those who protect us, and those who make the rules the rest of us are expected to follow. May you all find someone who matches this description in your house some dark night so that you can do your job down the road.
There just comes a time when things need to be said. Today is that time. You should all be brought up on charges including your idiot boss in the WH. May the progressives and wokes who worked so hard for this moment experience the fruits of their labor soon right along with the democrats who pushed so hard for this. This is not to say the republicans are off the hook. They just don’t appear to be as stupid in public.
Well, that makes me feel better. Just getting it off my chest usually works that way. The problem is I feel better but nothing is fixed. Which makes me just as at fault as everyone else.
I could blather on about the state of The Catholic Church as well. Actually, about most churches. They are so consumed with getting your $$s that they are afraid to tell you what is right and what is wrong. What is sinful and what is just. They preach love, love, love; totally forgetting about the rippling effect of your sins (even the confessed ones). Those ripples that reach out in never-ending wave fashion and touch everything in their path. Loving someone means you TELL THEM what they are doing wrong and help them reform. The misguided teachings of today… if you disagree, you hate; if you admonish, you judge … horse pucky. If you remain silent you send someone who could/would change into the world thinking that if it is good for them, it is good. You send your children out into the adult world fully unprepared for reality. You do your children a disservice and make their lives harder by not showing them the right way.
I must continue my day, know that you are prayed for. It’s really all I can do that makes a difference.
Happy Birthday “70” to CG, Happy Anniversary “1” to G&K C
My umbrella is lost, poof gone, just gone. Not a clue where it went. I thought it was in the car, I thought wrong. Then thought perhaps it’s in the office… wrong. It is definitely not where it belongs in the house. It has probably gone the way of that errant steering wheel cover.
Yesterday I caught up on the night before lack of sleep. It handled the headache, bad stomach, etc. morning issues. It did not prevent me from having a good night’s sleep last evening. The rain must have been the reason for achy joints.
Lovely Graduation party, congrats to TC, your future awaits you. Don’t let your sudden freedom overcome your solid foundation in the Lord.
Yesterday I came upon a video on YouTube. It was made by Fr. Jonathan Meyer and spoke about the 14 Stations of the Eucharist. I had never heard of them before. I am so grateful to have them now.
Ponder St Paul’s comment to Timothy…“Godliness with contentment is indeed great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and certainly we can take nothing out; but having food and sufficient clothing, with these let us be content. But those who seek to become rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many useless and harmful desires, which plunge men into destruction and damnation. For covetousness is the root of all evils, and some in their eagerness to get rich have strayed from the faith and have involved themselves in many troubles. But thou, o man of God, flee these things; but pursue justice, godliness, faith, charity, patience, mildness. Fight the good fight of the faith, lay hold on the life eternal…” (1Tim 6:12)
