St. Mark shows that God’s plan for His church and world is often too wonderful to comprehend. Father, help me to remember that my job is not to understand, but to obey and trust in Your providence.

Meditations for Each Day, pg. 401, The Fifth Joyful Mystery; The Finding of Jesus in the Temple
If we should ever have the great misfortune of losing Jesus, let us have recourse at once to Mary & Jospen, who lost Him without any fault of their part, searched anxiously for Him, and did not rest until they had found Him. by mortal sin we lose Jesus, and we lose our peace of soul. by venial sin we put Jesus farther away from us.

Scripture Reading for Day 8 of Overcoming Fear
Psalm 34:4 Magnify the LORD with me; and let us exalt his name together.
Romans 14:17-19 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of food and drink, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the holy Spirit;p 18 whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by others. 19 Let us* then pursue what leads to peace and to building up one another.q

Wedding today. Busy afternoon. grateful for yesterday’s down time.

Received a flier in the mail yesterday from Catholic Engagement a political action group. The card said in WI & MI only. It raises a flag with me because those in charge are from KS and there is no last name listed for the priest on the board. He is apparently from MI but lives in WI. He wore no collar. He is not listed (that I can find so far) in a diocese in MI. The current head of the group belongs to American for Prosperity which is a libertarian Conservative Advocacy Group. It is led by former Congressman Tim Huelskamp, Ph.D. and supported by campaign strategist Dakotah Parshall. This organization is distinct from the PAC but shares thematic alignment in Catholic civic engagement.
