Morning Offering given
May this prayer, remind me
that every gift comes from You.
Let my words and actions
show respect for Your creation.
With humble spirit,
I give thanks.
May light,
fill my soul.
May I walk,
in wholeness again.
Guide my steps,
like the stars guide the night traveler.
Speak softly,
to my heart.
give me wisdom,
that is calm and clear.
Let me choose,
what is right,
not what is easy.
Amen

Birthday greetings to Laura G.
St. Wenceslaus teaches us to embrace and proclaim Christianity even when our family members reject Your love. King of Kings, Lord of Lords, may I proclaim You name above all names.
Meditations for Each Day, pg.388, Goodness and Christian Courtesy
Christian perfection, when it is genuine and practical, should be reflected externally in our appearance, in our conversation, and in our behavior. Discourtesy, sharpness of manner, offensive speech, and all that is rude or displeasing, are signs that we are lacking or weak in virtue.
Divine Intimacy, pg. 953, #317 Zeal for Souls
O Jesus, You who gave Yourself without reserve for the salvation of the world, enkindle in my heart an ardent zeal for the salvation of souls. According to the measure in which the love of God takes possession of our heart, it creates and nourishes in us an ever-increasing love for our neighbor; this love, being supernatural, weeks only the supernatural good of our fellow men and thus becomes zeal for the salvation of souls.
Scripture Reading for Day 27 of Fruit of the Spirit
Esther 4:14 Even if you now remain silent, relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another source;* but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows—perhaps it was for a time like this that you became queen?”
Proverb 25:28 A city breached and left defenseless are those who do not control their temper.
Wisps of fog this morning as I traveled the back roads to the midwife’s house. Several deer were out to make driving interesting. The woman I took this morning is the same woman who years ago delivered in my car. I am grateful that was not the case today.
Yesterday was a very relaxing day. Although I learned that my Uncle Richard died about 10AM. He had started chemo for bladder cancer on Monday. The doctors figured he had an intestinal blockage that burst. I await the information on his funeral and hope it is on a day I can attend. I remember him with fondness. May he rest in peace.
Please offer up prayers for my son, Tom. At present he is in jail for failing to register. He just got out of prison last Jan. for failing to register. His court date is the 8th and he’s looking at 15 yrs. To say Tom is an angry man would be accurate. We adopted him and his brother when they were 5 & 6. The living conditions they had been in were filled with physical and sexual abuse. Both boys were considered mentally challenged. His brother chose to face his anger issues and does fairly well today although he is not able to be completely independent. Tom chose to avoid dealing with his anger issues and has had difficulty living in the real world his entire life. He chose drugs, alcohol, and sex addiction instead of doing the hard work and learning how to control his passions. He is now 39 and still refusing to take responsibility for his actions. Although he is fully capable of doing that, it is easier to apparently spend his life in prison. Pray he can overcome his addictions and live in the real world.
The man and I took a short ride yesterday noticing how quickly the trees are changing and the crops are drying for harvest. Fall is definitely here. The harvest has begun and is getting done between the rain drops.
Friday afternoon I will head to Marquette where I will spend the weekend in a cabin on the lake with my Cmomc friend Sharla. Each year we try to have a gathering, and this will be it. We have plans to visit the Our Lady of Guadalupe Gardens in Endeavor, as well as talk into the night about how our lives are going and how our faith relationship with Christ is coming along. I treasure the times I have been able to spend with her and other Cmomc women. They have helped me enormously over the years.
Know you are prayed for.
