Morning Offering given (This is the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus)

Village waking, birds singing

Today we remember Gary Packer who was killed in a car accident in 1990. May he rest in peace. Today Tom & Cheryl celebrate their 24th Anniversary. Let us take a moment and pray for Gary’s soul and the marriage of Tom & Cheryl.

St. Justin brought understanding for the meaning of truth and bearing witness to it. Jesus, give me the strength and the discernment to love truth and to be steadfast in my faith.

Meditations for Each Day. pg. 215, Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Scripture Reading for Day 1 of Dealing with the Enemy
Isaiah 1412-14 How you have fallen from the heavens, O Morning Star,* son of the dawn! How you have been cut down to the earth, you who conquered nations!i 13In your heart you said: “I will scale the heavens; Above the stars of God* I will set up my throne; I will take my seat on the Mount of Assembly, on the heights of Zaphon.j 14I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will be like the Most High!”k
Hebrews 10:19-22 Therefore, brothers, since through the blood of Jesus we have confidence of entrance into the sanctuarym 20 * by the new and living way he opened for us through the veil,n that is, his flesh, 21 * o and since we have “a great priest over the house of God,” 22 let us approach with a sincere heart and in absolute trust, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience* and our bodies washed in pure water.p
