St John Baptist Dei Rossi teaches us to practice what we preach when it comes to helping the sick, poor, and homeless. Lord, help me to remember that it is not enough to talk about aiding those in need; I pray for the strength in order to do it.
Meditations for Each Day, pg. 202, Mary, A Light in the Darkness Unfortunately instead of climbing the ladder to God, we descend it. We forget God and become excessively wrapped up in worldly affairs. Sometimes matters become worse and not only do we forget God, but we use our love of creatures to offend Him. Question: have you?
Wow, lots of food for thought in that reading. If you do not have this book I recommend you find it. Last I knew Thift Books had copies. I’ve been reading it now, over and over since 2021. Each morning something new catches my eye and I have something to ponder on daily. Occasionally I also ponder St Faustina’s Diary… today pg 43, #86…Jesus’ response ” I do not reward for good results but for the patience and hardship undergone for My sake.”
