The man readying for bike ride

Boy died last night on Sandhill. Marvin, 17 yr old son of Levi & Clara Miller on Dutch Hollow. Riding his wagon down Indian Creek, lost control, went over the edge, (20′ drop) 3 wagons went down, 3 in each wagon, no problems with 1st 2… the other boys with him, 1 treated at scene, other in hosp with broken leg. May he rest in peace. Our deepest sympathy to his family. Funeral on Monday.

Nice breeze on the porch this morning… feels good. Fall is on the way, so is school. Soon, real time will be back, and our bodies can live their natural time. Maybe this time it will stay put.

Time to think about fall flowers. I do good for spring, am ok for summer and dismally inadequate for fall.

Lots of reno work to finish on the house. Never seems to end. I really just want it finished. It’ll never get done, I know this. But hope springs eternal.
