The man sleeps
Woke this morning to lightning slashing the sky while thunder rumbled, shaking the ground. Much needed rain is falling in gentle waves. The screens here on the porch are saturated with coveted water. The wind is a cooling breeze. No complaints will be heard. Today, we will celebrate answered prayer. The roping corn leaves will unfurl and drink in the moisture. Nature will sigh with relief and open itself, taking a long drink of this liquid gold. We all give thanks and praise to God for hearing our pleas for rain and responding.
Nice visit last evening with s-i-l and niece.
The AC unit quit last night. Am thinking the electricity flashed on and off. The man will handle it today.
Gibs will be visiting again today. He is quite the character. He comandeered a chair on the porch. He likes this one best.
