New furnace is quiet something called two stages, which keeps fan blowing. All I know is it is comfortable in here.

Making a quick trip to IA this morning and back.

Looking forward to having supper with the boy at 5 tonight… New Mexican place in Sparta.

Yesterday, I started intermittent fasting with the Body Fast app. I think this might help me get serious and lose some weight… 100# to be exact. Now to get those measurements done.

Morning Offering given… it can be something as easy as… thank you, Lord, for allowing me to wake. I am yours to do with as you see fit guide me, and teach me, through the day

Village silent. Late night filled with fun at the Fall Fest. Who won the tractor pull? Car show is today.

Coffee good, welcomed in the chill of the morning.

2nd day of garage sale.

100 yr old rustic vintage coffee table, rustic bench too.

Tires

For those who need one almost new shower chair…

Quilt, leather jackets, flat screen TV,

Free working refrig…you haul

Tools

Books, books, books

The builder of the “Little Free Libraries” is moving in October. I have several new libraries. They usually run anywhere from 100-500, depending on size. The ones I have here are 25-75. New in the box. Also, 2 lfl benches. Stop in or give me a shout.

I’m still reading the spiritual direction book. There is a plethora of information there I will need to ponder. It’s funny how we grow up and think some things are set in stone. Most are not set in stone. We do it that way cause mom did is a fairly honest answer.

S-i-L…Kyle…the above statement does not include how to fold towels or sheets. Nor does it include the proper placement of TP in the holder or the proper position of the lid on the T. That is set in stone.

The man sleeps so does the girl

Bird chorus announcing the dawn

Found a used portable washer for the girl while they RV Park this summer. We’ll pick it up today and test it out.

Irish Ridge Rd looks amazing! From Dell to Parker, it’s totally awesome! Town of Clinton, this is a wonderful improvement!

Day 3 of the girl’s garage sale.

Extra siding moved out of back entry way. Might just get that area in order yet.

I’m rambling this morning. I tend to do that when the mind is full of things that need sorting through.

There are white rose and pink rose suckers in the front yard if anyone is looking for an old-time rose bush. I believe you’d find a lilac bush and plum tree suckers as well.

Off to Boscobel this morning. Quick drop off to make.

Almost run over by electric car. They are so quiet, didn’t hear it coming. Just one more thing on my list of reasons not to own one. Child labor used to mine the minerals used in making the batteries is another reason on that list. Right along with the idea of how green those pushing that narrative want you to believe it is. In the end, we will find out it is all about the 💰 being made by the select few. Don’t get me wrong, I have no issues with people making $$s. My issue is with the lies told to make them and the backs that received pennies doing in work. Perhaps that should be another entry at a different time.

Gotta get it moving.

Garage Sales, sheds, and roofs…

The girl came this week to run the garage sale. I am no good to her, but she is doing great on her own.

The chimney is down, the roof is patched, and re shingled in that area. No sense fooling ourselves. A steel roof isn’t in the budget right now. Many thanks to our friend Henry and to the boy for doing this. The man at 72 can not tackle this one himself.

Reality bites a bit these days. The minds are young, and the bodies grow old. The strength that once was diminished. Time is not our friend these days. Napping seems to come daily now. Doesn’t take much to convince ourselves to take one.

We need to find a new shed. A larger one split into two rooms with separate entrances. One side for the garden, the other for a library/office area. The copy jobs are more frequent and larger. More space is needed for layout and assembly. Also, for family history research items. Where did this all come from?

So far, no interest from family members has been shown to take over the history things. Not everyone has an interest in searching and compiling. This is okay. I just need to have it in order when the interest comes.

Nuff of the rambling. Time to get things done before life passes us by.

The girl arrived yesterday. Garage sale looks ready to go.

Early run for me. Hope to be home by noon.

White roses still in bloom. Pink ones beginning to open. We need rain.

Pesky rabbit working on garden plants.

The car has a brake issue. It is at the shop for repair. We have been Blest with a great mechanic all these years.

Cmom gathering thoughts are swirling around in my head. I have a list of shrines to look at next.

Book sorting has begun. I have a very good Catholic library.

Enjoy the day. Relax and appreciate nature.

Village sleeps

Early baby run, say a few prayers for mom. This is her first child. I’m waiting a bit to make sure they are keeping her.

Day 3 of garage sale. Only open til noon. Am already lining things up in my mind regarding what will be boxed and stored, what will be donated, and what will be on the dump run this afternoon.

It’s very overcast, but there is no rain as yet. Hoping it holds off til tonight.

Rosary tonight 7:30 St. John’s Summit Ridge. Each Saturday night in May, we will do this.

Birthday greetings to Pat C.

I am enjoying less driving. There’s so much to do at the house. Our list seems to grow longer each day. I’m thinking satan likes us to be so busy we can’t think. Keeps our minds from focusing on God.

Left the house without pouring my coffee. I regret that.

Have an awesome day… see ya next time around. Know you are prayed for.

Garage Sales…

My intentions were good. Just scheduled my life wrong. The man and the girl are doing all the work. Me? I’m driving. On the last leg till next week

Where did all this stuff come from?

The first day went well. Almost a $400. Day. There is just SO MUCH MORE!

Meanwhile, the yard gets mowed, the front porch is partially opened, the flowerbeds mulched, old papers burned, plants repotted, and a campfire enjoyed by all.

Onward… to day two!

Cold and rainy.

Slow selling day, but things are moving out the door.

Suppose to rain for the next 2 days.

Tomorrow is half price day.

As well as the afternoon being free for the taking off the curb. Some will go off to the Cupboard & Closet, some to the dump… nothing is staying here.

Perhaps in July, I will do another sale with books. Who knows.
