Dream filled sleep last night… probably due to watching “The Cokeville Miracle” on Tubi.  Another good movie without sexual innuendo or bad language.  One of the characters struck home with me.

Purchased mums yesterday. The man got them in the ground for me last night. God is watering them for me this morning.  Great price, $8; I’ll need 2 more to finish the bed out front.

Japanese beetles have arrived.

Off to LaX this morning for xrays/ultrasound of knees.  The man will go with me.  Txs to neighbor “B” I have found night relief by placing pillow under knees when sleeping. 

Need to pick squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers this morning before we leave.

So, here we are, almost mid-August, almost 8.5 months into the year… how’s your friendship with Jesus going? Still too busy to fit him in? Perhaps what the real problem is… you’d have to change how you do things. You’d have to give up your total control, trust that someone else was better at directing your life, and if that wasn’t hard enough to do, you’d have people noticing that you changed and you’d probably have to explain… GASP… it’s the real problem, isn’t it. You are afraid someone will notice and question. Don’t worry… Luke 12:12… God has your back.

1st Wednesday… To your Chaste Heart, we consecrate ourselves, on this day, O Glorious Saint Joseph. We consecrate our families and all that we have. Just as you protect Jesus and Mary, protect my soul and my life also, O my Beloved Protector, against the dangers that surround me and attack me. O Glorious Saint Joseph, teach me to love deeply the most Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, so that you may come to love deeply as they your Most Chaste Heart, honoring it and making it known, as you deserve and ought to be Honored and loved for all eternity. Amen!

New month began yesterday. Time to take inventory of my life. Time to check my relationships. Godchildren list them and pray for them and touch base. Time to check my children’s lives.

Overview

The lighting in the shrine was interesting. You couldn’t see the flickering and streaks with the naked eye. However, with the camera, they were very obvious, but not at all if on video. The alter flickered when being looked at thru a camera, so I switched to video…the flickering stopped. The reflection in the 1st class relic photos was not there when the flashless photo was taken but very evident in the photo itself. As it is also in other photos taken around the shrine.

We head home today after enjoying a much needed time away.

The shrines we visited were worth the drive. St Kateri was a favorite of my F-i-l and is also dd#1’s confirmation saint. However, at the time Kateri was blessed, permission was needed. St. Odilia is the patroness of eye issues. Our dd#4 and our niece I were laid before her to take to Jesus.

These two shrines are very small, are located in out of the way places, and were unknown to us until about a month ago. Well worth the drive.

Prayer for the Crosier Order they are aging out. May God bring them young men to be priests & brothers.

Our bus Tour to Gower, MO, has been postponed till the 21/22 due to the heat.  I hope to touch them to Sr. Wilhelmina Lancaster.

St. Philomina Shrine prayer shawl & a new rosary for Gower trip.

Earlier, I posted about the letter giveaway. I absolutely loved the Audry Rose letters. A VDF shared them with me.

The old knees are a mess.  The cyst in the left wrist and behind left knee will be evaluated for removal soon.

I will not go into how NOT golden these years are.

Today, I am home till a phone call with a time comes in.  Gib will be with us too.
