Are practicing this morning for their show in La Crosse on the weekend.
They are breath taking! So close it feels as if you could reach out and pluck them from the sky.

In the Catholic tradition… St Anthony of Padua is today’s saint. “Tony, Tony come around something is lost and can’t be found” is the little rhyme we taught our children to say when something had been lost. Believe what you want, however… one year we hosted a family reunion at a local park. Our 3rd son J wears hearing aids, he was wearing them before we left. Late in the afternoon J came to us and said he’d lost one of his aides so off they went to find it. No luck. Since he’d been down by the water we figured it had gone into the water. Before we left I told him to look one more time but to ask St Anthony for his help. Nothing in the park. Home we went, unloaded the car, and as I went down the stairs to put things away in the basement there on the floor lay the missing aide. Say what you want, believe what you want but I know (for a fact,) that aide was not where it was found before we left.
How’s your friendship with Jesus coming along?

A few moments ago, I drove down a country road close to my home. Contemplating how the day had played out, how it hadn’t; my thoughts traveled on to lament, how the beautiful sunshine that had, graced the entire day had turned to rain, thunder, and moisture-filled skies. The road (in front of me) was covered with thunderheads, and the wind was picking up when I noticed faintly hovering in the clouds., a rainbow! It had to be one and I could see it from one end to the other bowing across those thunderheads passing through a spot of light. the clouds darkened as the spot of light widened and brightened. Letting the rainbow colors come out just a touch more. Suddenly the day wasn’t going to hell. I remembered God’s promise and the future became much brighter.

Genesis 9:12-17…
12 God said: This is the sign of the covenant that I am making between me and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come: 13 I set my bow in the clouds to serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 When I bring clouds over the earth, and the bow appears in the clouds,15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and every living creature—every mortal being—so that the waters will never again become a flood to destroy every mortal being. 16 When the bow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature—every mortal being that is on earth. 17 God told Noah: This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and every mortal being that is on earth.
Regardless of what the world now tells us about the meaning of rainbows, the truth is that rainbows are a sign of God’s promise to us that he will not destroy the earth by flood again.
Recently I posted a YouTube link for the video “Is Genesis History”. Now might be a good time to watch that.

In the Catholic tradition, today we pray for the Polish Martyrs of WWII… 108 of them, killed by Nazis… 3 bishops, 52 priests, 26 male religious orders, 3 seminarians, 8 religious sisters, and 9 lay people. May God have mercy on their souls. John15:13
Why pray for someone who is already dead? 2 Timothy 1:16-18, along with verses from 2Maccabees, and the well-documented practice of early Christianity lends to the theological tradition of praying for the souls in purgatory to help their purification process. St Pope John Paul II said, “Praying for the souls in purgatory is the highest act of supernatural charity.”
Hoping the remaining sheer panel arrives today for the porch; along with the table umbrella. I’m thinking I will need to find at least two more sheer panels to complete the project. I’m not sure what this old mind was thinking by not ordering them to begin with.
Have a few pick-up and drop-offs to do along with workshop workers, and Bote this morning. Tonight I have a bus stop run as well. The man will be meeting his cousin today for lunch.
Must get a move on, time moves too swiftly.

Never would I have imagined what a difference woodchip mulch would do for a parking area.

Nice trip down last evening. Nothing to rush for. The fields we green and lush. Strawberries flourish, lots of for sale strawberry signs. Averaging $4 a quart.
Good night’s sleep. Will be headed home here shortly with A&S D who are catching a bus to Wyoming today in Cashton.
Received notice my friers will be ready for pickup tomorrow at FM’s. They are always plump and juicy.
Let’s talk about how your friendship with Jesus is going? Can’t cultivate a friendship if you don’t talk with him.

The man has begun the long awaited project. I’m loving the looks of it. More when it’s finished.

Change in design.
