Time to clean both houses.

Time to back the person who cares enough to answer questions that need answers or at the least answered with a future plan.

Personally, neither of them are up to the task.

Not to mention the news media, pacs and ads need to clean up their acts, stop the money-making hype, and fill people in on the real facts/truth.

Everyone’s behavior regarding politics  is scandalous.

This morning I’ll let Gibbs out for my friend, then, I have pick ups for the Amish workshop, a trip to the Amish shoe store and back home to debone the chicken baked last night, finish up laundry, sweeping, and vacuuming. My closet should be sorted thru and all the too big, too small, will never wear items removed. Later I will go to my friend VK’s for supper. The Bike to Mary participants will be there this evening.

In the Catholic Tradition we look at the 10th Station of the Eucharist…Multiplication of the Loaves… Mark 6… this scripture foreshadows the Last Supper… Jesus gives thanks, blesses, breaks, and feeds his people. He continues to do this today thru the Most Holy Eucharist.

Jesus performs his 1st miracle, demonstrating that he is God and has power over substance. Changing something lesser into something greater. This pattern follows at every Mass where simple bread and wine are turned into his body & blood. Jesus invites us to another wedding, a spiritual one between himself and his church.

The man sleeps. His 2nd eye surgery went well. He was a bit more sedated than the last time but a good nap handled that.

I retired early and of course woke up way too early. Left leg tenderness and left side of neck pain says I should sleep on my back and not on my left side. Of course, it could also be saying other things and perhaps I need to have it checked out. I’ve never been much of a Dr. person so will see how that goes.

In the Catholic Tradition… 8th Station of the Eucharist… St. John the Baptist points to the Lamb of God… John 1 John is clearly telling us his cousin Jesus in the Lamb of God making the connection with the sacrificial lambs of the temple for Passover. It was commanded in Exodus 12 that the family of the Passover lamb eat its flesh just as we are told to eat his flesh and drink his blood if we desire eternal life.

This year my Spiritual Adoptee from Opus Sanctorum Angelorum is Fr Barry Dowd. I’m not quite sure how many years I have been doing this but my hope is, my prayer will somehow make a difference for him.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem… literally means House of Bread… fulfilling a prophecy in Micah 5:2. A hundred years later we read in Luke of Jesus who was born in Bethlehem. Christ himself tells us he is the Living Bread from Heaven. Born in a town called the House of Bread, laid in a feeding trough, to be sacrificed for our salvation and giving us his flesh and blood to eat.

Very nice time up at St John’s Summit Ridge yesterday. 145 years of bringing the faith to the faithful. Our parish is small, a neighboring larger parish priest services us. For this we are grateful. Children enjoyed the games while adults enjoyed great conversation and all enjoyed fabulous food, especially the strawberry & ice cream sundaes.

In the Catholic Tradition… The 6th Station of the Eucharist… “The Ark of the Covenant” 2 Chronicles 5&6. God gives Moses the law on Mt Sinai they were placed in a golden box (Ark of the Covenant) and housed in a tent while the Israelites wandered the desert. In every Catholic church, you will find the Tabernacle (Ark of the Covenant) where the Eucharist is placed if it has not all been consumed. If the body of Christ is present you will find a lit candle telling you Christ is present. Some refer to the Virgin Mary as the Ark of the New Covenant because she carried Christ within her.

Today St John the Baptist Catholic Church Summit Ridge will host their annual fundraiser “Strawberry Day”. All are invited to attend the dinner and enjoy the games. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate.

Each morning, the Israelites would go out and gather their daily portion of Manna. They did this for 40 yrs until they entered the promised land. Jesus explained in John 6 that even though they did this they died. He claimed he was the “Bread of Life” and if we ate the living bread we would not die. The Israelites said “What is This?” and today we say the same thing “What is This?”
