Very nice visit yesterday with sister-in-law Terese S. I’m enjoying the sister/sister-in-law tea that she started last month. Hopefully we will be able to continue this monthly. So I ask you, who is hosting next?

RIAY Day 178:Open the Door

The man has left for Iowa; he’ll return tomorrow sometime. I was happy he could pk up and drop off a chainsaw for me at Moses S’s. Quite the day yesterday, filled with storms and laughter. Wainscotting & trim for kitchen picked up. Glad to have that job done. Lots of housework to do today. Life has been so very busy of late, the house has suffered for it. Also, have a few plants to get in the ground once the cattle panel has been put in place. I am home until Monday morning, PTL for that.

Books
Planning to read some fluff ones by Kelly Irvin. The Bee Co. Series: The Beekeeper’s Son, The Bishop’s Son, and The Saddlemaker’s Son. All placed on hold through the WRLS Catalog. I’m dreaming of nice reads on the front porch, in the chaise lounge.

Today
Read your journal. Answer any questions you may have had before with answers you have now.

Some roads, you must walk alone.
No friend, no family, no partner,
only you & God.
Some battles, you must fight alone.
No crowd, no applause, no recognition
only you & God.
Some storms, you must endure alone.
No Shelter, no shortcut, no escape
only You & God.
Sometimes God puts you in places alone
because He needs you to realize
you don’t need anyone but Him.
But in every step,

every struggle, and every storm
God is closer than you think.

Happy Birthday to Kris.

RIAY Day 175: Calling Through the Noise

Today is looking to be relatively easy. One morning run, one afternoon run. Hopefully it will keep to that.

Work continues to fix the patio to add a space for the grill. I am so blessed with a husband who knows how and isn’t afraid to do these types of things.

RIAY Day 174:Living Our Baptism

Read Haggi, note what strikes you the most in your journal.

Despite the heat, wind,& rain the white roses persist in blooming. I note this because in all past years, they turned brown, shriveled, and fell to the ground.

Today, the plan is to plant English Ivy by the patio and string grow wire for it. Hoping the results end up looking IRL like it does in my mind.

Laundry completed, just hanging up left to accomplish.

Perhaps I should update the garden book.

Easy day in the works for me.

RIAY Day 170 Grit & Grace
Meditations for Each Day by Cardinal Antonio Bacci pg 242 “The Holy Mass” Let us remember that the Sacrifice of the Mass should be our sacrifice also. It is not only the priest who offers it, but we offer it along with the priest and with Jesus: ‘Receive, O Holy Trinity, this oblation which we make to Thee‘”

I’m off to the mechanic this morning for tire sensor replacement. My hope is that this is the only thing that needs replacing. Then off to the car wash and hopefully a haircut before I pick up a friend from her doctor’s appointment. Then a late-night run to IL and back. I am armed with my audiobook; this one is called The Running Grave by Robert Galbraith, whom I have been reading for quite some time. The language is awful, but the storyline is very good. After listening to several in this series, I can finally understand most of the British street English. On another note, I need to check in with my otolaryngologist. I must have a sinus infection because I keep smelling smoke, where there is none. The knee continues to function without much discomfort. It does have a decided click in it and at times a weak feeling, but not what I would call pain. Hopefully, the MRI will be forthcoming soon. The road camera is charging. I’ll get that placed late day. Always nice to have for ins purposes, just in case a deer happens along. I’m off and running.

RIAY Day 169

Good Morning!
Early one for me as I had 6 to get to the bus before 5am.
Still looking for someone to take the NW route for the over-21 special school girls.
Interesting weather this past week. Montana had 8″ of golfball-sized hail, North Dakota had tornadoes, Indonesia’s Mt. Lewotobi Laki erupted, flooding in West Virginia, wildfires in New Mexico, and Hawaii.
