RIAY Day 170 Grit & Grace
Meditations for Each Day by Cardinal Antonio Bacci pg 242 “The Holy Mass” Let us remember that the Sacrifice of the Mass should be our sacrifice also. It is not only the priest who offers it, but we offer it along with the priest and with Jesus: ‘Receive, O Holy Trinity, this oblation which we make to Thee‘”

I’m off to the mechanic this morning for tire sensor replacement. My hope is that this is the only thing that needs replacing. Then off to the car wash and hopefully a haircut before I pick up a friend from her doctor’s appointment. Then a late-night run to IL and back. I am armed with my audiobook; this one is called The Running Grave by Robert Galbraith, whom I have been reading for quite some time. The language is awful, but the storyline is very good. After listening to several in this series, I can finally understand most of the British street English. On another note, I need to check in with my otolaryngologist. I must have a sinus infection because I keep smelling smoke, where there is none. The knee continues to function without much discomfort. It does have a decided click in it and at times a weak feeling, but not what I would call pain. Hopefully, the MRI will be forthcoming soon. The road camera is charging. I’ll get that placed late day. Always nice to have for ins purposes, just in case a deer happens along. I’m off and running.

Good Morning!
Early one for me as I had 6 to get to the bus before 5am.
Still looking for someone to take the NW route for the over-21 special school girls.
Interesting weather this past week. Montana had 8″ of golfball-sized hail, North Dakota had tornadoes, Indonesia’s Mt. Lewotobi Laki erupted, flooding in West Virginia, wildfires in New Mexico, and Hawaii.

Wonderful parade for the 250th Anniversary of the Military. I have yet to understand those who are protesting with this “No Kings” thing. Never has Trump acted like a king; he has had to fight and claw for everything he has done. A King would have just done an off with their head type of move. The problem as I see it… The other side is seeing all the ridiculous things they’ve maneuvered to avoid being found out and pulled out. Does it seem to be moving too quickly? Yes, it does, but knowing one is going to be dodging roadblocks has one moving swiftly so that they can be past the stage before a roadblock becomes an issue. I’m proud to be an American. I’m proud to see a President who stands up and acts in public view instead of under the cover of darkness or a cloak of diversion. I’m proud of my military children, husband, and father. Nuff said.

Today
Read Nahum 3, you have now completed another Old Testament Book.
RIAY Day 167: Glory Awaits the Faithful
Pope Leo XIV to the American People
Meditations for Each Day pg 236, The Holy Spirit wants us to cooperate with him so that we can be transformed and made holy. He wants us to persevere in prayer and daily participation in the Sacrament of the Altar. He wants us to receive spiritual clarity, keep far from us things which would displease God, avoid the spirit of the world contamination, seek divine inspiration, and listen for God’s voice within us.

Have an awesome day today.

Today marks the 250th Birthday of the US Army. The parade will begin tonight at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. I’m hoping to watch part of this parade on TV. I personally believe this is a great opportunity to learn about and experience some history. There is a cost for everything; some believe this is a shameless waste of money. I do not. I think it’s a great opportunity to walk back and see how it was in the past. I believe this is a great tribute to our military. As for the cost? Rather spend my tax $$ on this than cleaning up after Antifa, Gay Pride, BLM, etc. But of course, they will be there as well, voicing their displeasure as usual. Of course, the News, and left wingers are using decisive wording in their descriptions to put a negative spin on this celebration… as usual.

Have a great day!

The Apostolate of Holy Motherhood pg 87 “Do not be disquieted by what is going on around you. The tumult is caused by the evil one to try and suppress the work which is about to begin. You must rise above it in order to fulfill my plan.”
Meditations For Each Day Pg 231 ” We may not have been called to go and spread the faith amongst the infidels at the risk of martyrdom. But we have all been called to a state of holiness. Perfection, moreover, is a gradual martyrdom.”
Saint of the Day: St. Anthony of Padua, who reminds us that none of us are lost to God.

Morning!
I have a bit of free time this morning and plan to lollygag on the front porch a bit. Well, at least until the dryer dings. The man is off to IA for the funeral of an extended family member. I will be in IA late afternoon to drop of some stuff and pick up a person who needs to come back to WI today. Say a prayer for the boy who was ill yesterday and continues to sleep.

RIAY Day 162 Carrying the Cross Together
The Apostolate of Holy Motherhood pg 85 “Making Reparation For So Much Sin.” Making atonement for sin is not always easy. Reparation must be made to both the Sacred & Immaculate Hearts, if God’s justice is to be appeased.
Meditation For Each Day pg 228 “Learn From Me, For I Am Meek & Humble of Heart” Jesus Christ provided us with an example of every virtue. As the foundation of all the virtues, He insisted on the great precept of loving God above all things and our neighbour as ourselves.

Saint of the Day, St. Barnabas an apostle whose very name means exhortation and consolation. He teaches us to both encourage & comfort others.

Well, interesting… The Wisconsin Health Department had decided pregnant women and children 6 months and older should continue to receive the COVID-19 Vaxx. They also recommend the HPV Vaxx. Those in charge of this department are Kirsten Johnson, Deb Standridge, and Sarah Valencia. Write or call them and voice your opinion.
