21°F gray skies ESE@8mph winter weather advisory posted, freezing rain mixing with snow by mid to late Monday morning 2/10ths of an inch of ice, less than 1″ of snow. Winds to 35mph.

Morning Offering given…Sacred Heart of Jesus, Immaculate Heart of Mary, most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph, I consecrate to you this day my mind(+forehead), my words (+lips), my body (+chest), my heart (+left shoulder), my soul (+ right shoulder). So that your will be done, through me this day. Amen

Village is Sunday morning peaceful.

Blessed Mother, please help my husband & I be more and more committed to you and to your Holy Catholic Church. Please help us to grow in faith and to pass that faith onto our children. May it permeate every aspect of our life so there is no question WHO we put first in our lives so our children see this and learn from it. Thank you for our faith, may we never take it for granted.

Humans always wanting to be God. Satan tempted 1st, Adam & Eve, then tried to tempt Christ (the new Adam).

Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in what day soever you shall eat thereof, your eyes shall be opened: and you shall be as Gods, knowing good and evil. (The first temptation)

Matthew 4:3,6 (3) And the tempter coming said to him: If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. (6)And said to him: If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down, for it is written: That he hath given his angels charge over thee, and in their hands shall they bear thee up, lest perhaps thou dash thy foot against a stone.

But Christ was having none of the devil’s sly words

Philippians 2:6-8 Who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  7 But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man.  8 He humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, even to the death of the cross.

Christ finally gave himself up to death and undid the first sin. Lent is a time to dwell on how Christ took our sin unto himself and saved us from ourselves. Look at your sins, really look…bad habits, quick anger, resisting God’s will for you. Get out pen and paper, make that list, find a confessional, and repent, so that you can spend eternity with Christ.

Jesus, give me the grace to submit to you in all things.

Coffee was okay today, I am surprised at that. My head cold is better but not great. Perhaps the stuffiness will break today and the sinus’ will drain, relieving the headache and plugged ears. No fever. Sore throat is abating. For a while there in the night it felt like razor blades cutting me. Definitely an infection with yellow mucus. Okay, I will stop being graphic.

Passed on a baby run this morning, just couldn’t do it. Too ill. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day so I can meet my commitments to teachers/students/and medical appointments. Perhaps I should find out if they even want to chance it.

The house is a mess…anyone have a magic wand?

Need a new library book.

How’s life in your world. Please know it is okay for you to make comments here. I’d welcome them.

Know you are prayed for.

Morning Offering given

Village silent

Coffee passible

Home today, sick Was in bed by 6 last night, got up this morning at 5. I could go back to sleep in a flash. Probably will. Head cold moved into the ears.

Word has it snow/or rain is in today’s forecast. Frankly I am sooooo ready for Spring weather.

How’s Lent goig for you? Hopefully you are still on track, if not you can always start again. Thant’s one of the really great things about our faith. Jesus always lets us start again if we get off track. Spend a few moments collecting your list, think about what started you down the wrong path, talk with your priest or go to confession. Due your penance, begin again. Lent is the perfect time to get yourself right with God. Don’t allow your fears or challenging situations prevent you from confessing. Don’t give up or stop trusting in the promises he made.

Know you are prayed for.

Village quiet, peaceful, and cold

Coffee is good

The man leaves this morning, will return sometime on Monday.

So far everything is on time this morning.

Today, the Friday after Ash Wednesday No meat day and no you cannot substitute this is LENT.

Take 15 to talk to God this morning. See what he would like your Lent to be.

Say a prayer for me to be rid of this cold that found me yesterday.

Know you are prayed for.

Dueteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to witness this day that I have set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing. Choose therefore life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

God has given us a set of rules to abide by so that our lives may be in accord with him.

Do they chaff you?

WHY?

You have countless daily chances to live your life according to God’s will.

Jesus, let me hear your voice. Summon out what I should be. Set your seal upon my heart. Holy Spirit dwell in me.

Village blanketed in snow, plows working, snow is to continue till around 10 am

Coffee’s good, needed, sleep was elusive

The man will be out shoveling this morning. A snowblower would be a wonderful thing. I’ve a feeling the snow is heavy this time.

Only 25 days till Spring.

Book suggestions are welcomed. I head to the library on Fri for new ones.

A shrew found its way into the kitchen the other day. I think mouse but it definately was not. It no longer lives.

Feeling unsettled this morning. Not sure why. The to do list is expanding. The got it done list is not lessoning. Laundry waiting to be folded, washed, and dried.

Did you make a plan for how you were going to come closer to Christ during Lent? I’d love to hear it.

Know you are prayed for.
