The man made KS in good shape & time. Will spend the day today with family down there.

Worked on a few copy jobs yesterday. The office is perfect for doing this. Now, if I could just get things put away so the counters are clear.

I’ve been thinking about salt covenants. The book I mentioned yesterday is quite interesting as well as making sense.

As a child, I remembered men shaking hands on a deal. That handshake was a seal of the deal. No one would think of breaking what had been sealed. I look at today; handshakes have changed. I see them as more of a greeting at times a challenge given than a seal the deal.

I still remember a conversation of 12 yrs past. The man sealed a deal; he gave his word with a handshake. Along came another man who tried to change it, the man told him, “I gave my word, we shook on it.” The other man said, ‘But you didn’t sign anything, I’ll give you more.’ The man said, ‘No, I gave my word.’ To this day, my loss of respect for this man remains. Each time I see him thru eyes that see one who is willing to cheat.

Seems the world has forgotten how to keep a covenant.

I’ll be working in the office today.

I’m reading… Keepers of Salt by Debby Davis. Interesting read and concept.

Entering into a Covenant of Salt means binding oneself to another in utmost loyalty and truthfulness, even suffering death, rather than breaking the covenant. For this very reason, a Covenant of Salt was never done lightly or haphazardly; it deserves serious respect.

The salt covenant is mention 2 times in the bible… Leviticus and 2 Chronicles.

Began week 9 of 25 of intermitant fasting. Down 12#s, slow but sure wins the race.

Cpap…21 days of use…picked up different hose yesterday. We shall see.

Are you paying attention to what’s happening in the world?

It has been a very relaxing time here. Time is confusing… This place sits on the line.

I start pkg up at 0730. Then, a two hour drive to Dunnville, where I pick up 2 more. After that, 10.5 hrs to home. I will be glad to get there.

The man has been very busy moving the old office to the new. Lots of putaway work scheduled for Wednesday. How I got it all in the old office I’ll never know, it certainly fills the new one. Still have a few shelves to hang, some shim work & touch up painting to do and of course organizing and put away. Oh, and let’s not forget I’ll need to hang the artwork.

Today, we focus on the 1st week of Advent. You will find the 1st Sunday of Advent rosary link below.

Advent – Week One

Advent 2023

Magi… Wisemen… 3 Kings

Gaspar (or Caspar) wears a green cloak and a gold crown with green jewels. He is the King of Sheba. Gaspar represents the Frankincense brought to Jesus.
Melchior has long white hair and a white beard and wears a gold cloak. He is the King of Arabia. …
Balthazar has a black beard and wears a purple cloak. He is the King of Tarse and Egypt. …

They will begin their journey to the Christ babe as soon as his star appears in the sky.

If one looks at the Magi story, the murder of innocents, and scripture regarding where they found Christ and who was present, their journey may have taken 3 yrs.

Advent is the perfect time for you to begin your journey to the Christ babe.
