Pope Francis remains in critical condition. Regardless of our personal issues with the way he conducts his office we are required to pray for him. Not only for him but in the act of praying for ourselves.
The Ascension app has brought a pod cast to my attention entitled “Navigating Attractions and Lust in Relationships” (with Sr Josephine Garrett) It’ll take about 30 mins
Normal Monday, although I shouldn’t I will. Can’t just sit here and think about the leg issues.

Health update…
-I lowered my CPAP to 1.3 events/hr. from 60 and increased it to 6-7 hrs. of sleep from 3. I still hate the dry throat and the entire process, but it is working.
-Weight loss, miserable failure. Nothing works.
-Foot neuropathy starting treatments over. They are so time-consuming I haven’t been doing them, progress had been made, and now without it, I am back where I started.
In a nutshell… I’m a physical mess and apparently have no willpower to keep at it. So, I begin again.
-Sinus/chest congestion issues finally breaking up.
My apologies to Katherine for not attending the shower yesterday. I had to decide between two options because I could not do both. My thank you to Mark & Val for a very pleasurable dinner and conversation. We played “Dodge-the-Deer” all the way home… won. Today, however, I will remain home for the duration. The legs are so bad walking further than the bathroom is not an option. Perhaps a good treatment will relieve it so that tomorrow I can do my responsibilities without too many issues.
Prayers go up today for GS, KS, and SS for the needs/issues in their lives. Prayers for Pope Francis… God’s will. For me to get with and stick to the health issues and wellness.

Day 52- Mine Eyes Have Seen Salvation
Memory Verse – Matthew 8:8- “The centurion said in reply,* “Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed.” and at Mass we say… “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.” I don’t know about the rest of you but when I get to “the but only say” my throat tightens up and tears come to my eyes. At that point, I feel my unworthiness to receive the body of Christ. I don’t ever want to lose that feeling. Just thinking about it brings chills.
The man is off to Edgewood, IA this morning and will be there for the day. I finally wrote out the “cat story” from a few months back. Made me chuckle again. Today I pick up the deposits, take someone shopping, and bring the teachers home. Will also take someone to Greenwood. Time to make my list of things to pick up at the store today.

I am the driver of the Amish
I drive them to and fro
Sometimes the trips are short
Sometimes the trips are slow
Many a time a trip becomes
Part of my memory
Here’s one I hope becomes
A memory for you
I pulled into the dirt lane
Driving past the gate
Took the circle drive
Ending at the door in the back
Standing by the door
A colorful meowing cat
As many things were loaded
She was desperate to get in back
After several tries
She must have given up
Although as we left the drive
Her yowls were quite pronounced
At the gate, we stopped to check
The inside and the out
No sign of hide nor hair was seen
Of that pesky cat
The roads we drove were filled with
curves, bumps, hills, and vales
When finally we stopped
Nothing was heard not a peep
I filled the tank, stretched my legs
Went in to pay, as a truck pulled up
A man jumped out and said
Did ya see that cat?
I knew of what he spoke
But that cat I never saw
So I just said
NOPE!
Upon return the man
Was waiving his arms,
Stomping his feet
And shouting I give up!
It was then that I could see
That cat far back in the engine
Yowlin’, hissin’, and pulling back
The man just yelled Get it out!
I jumped in the car, burstin’ my ribs as laughter flew about
The rest of the trip we wondered How did he get that cat out?

-Memory Verse – Proverbs 30:7-9 “Two things I ask of you, do not deny them to me before I die:
Put falsehood and lying far from me, give me neither poverty nor riches; provide me only with the food I need; Lest, being full, I deny you, saying, “Who is the LORD?” Or, being in want, I steal, and profane the name of my God.“
5:30 pick-up this morning, then 6:30, then 7:00, and finally 8:00. Home for day and at 3 do it all over again. Found a counted cross stitch & needle in the car yesterday, wonder who that belongs to. Once again, I will attempt to shelve more books upstairs. I’m cleaning out the old laptop to place it up there should someone need it and placing a printer up there too. Then it is on to setting up the sewing machine in the office area. Who knows, I may even get a new outfit made. A post office stop is in order as well as a copy job needing to be delivered.
The weather is much warmer today. Hoping it will reach into the high 20’s and keep climbing. Word has it more winter weather coming in on Monday.
Ash Wednesday is in 13 days. Have you decided what your Lenten read will be? Are you contemplating making changes? Have you pondered how your restart is going? Is it going or has it dwindled down to nothing? Perhaps you are attempting to run before you have learned to walk.

-RIAY Day 50 Rejoice in the Beauty
-Memory Verse – Nehemiah 8:10 –He continued: “Go, eat rich foods and drink sweet drinks, and allot portions to those who had nothing prepared; for today is holy to our LORD. Do not be saddened this day, for rejoicing in the LORD is your strength!” going further with Psalms 46:11 (10 in the protestant bible) “Be still and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”
Good Morning! The temps are 10° warmer this morning, and by week’s end will be in the mid 20’s. The snow is still beautiful to see. This is the last week of the winter reading program at the library. Get your book sheet filled out and turned in to win prizes. The man helped me out yesterday saving me a trip to Iowa by picking up some people for me on his way back from Illinois. I am grateful to him for that. This morning will be a crowded ride with people from the wake last evening and an unexpected trip to Bangor after workshop drop-offs this morning.
Take a few moments to inventory your lives this morning.
