Morning! Last evening’s sleep was decent. I see we received rain overnight. We needed it; things were starting to get dry. Tires have been replaced on the car for the summer. All copy work has been delivered. One drop off due this morning and I’m free till Monday. The woman who is thinking about doing the WC Van route is picking up the van today and will be seeing how she likes the route.
Today Read Proverbs 25, memorize the verse/s that speak to you. RIAY Day 137 Medium Reveals Meaning
SUV at the garage, new tires, replace the backup camera The man just left for a funeral in Blair One copy job to complete, 2 pickup and dropoffs, and the bank run on the calendar for today Not much rain yesterday, but it was good and windy. The thunder rumbled long and deep, giving the impression of a train passing by on the tracks. I had to go out and look; the sky was not tornado green, nor was there any circular motion. We’re halfway into May, and I continue to look for all the must-have DST people to be outside as the sun rises each morning. Taking things in… not a one, except for the man and me. While we lose ONE HOUR OF SLEEP DAILY. If I’m lucky, my house will get put in order today. The knees are feeling good. The shoulders keep going too. This daily routine of checking “how the body parts are functioning” is getting obnoxious. Who would have thought the “Golden Years” would be so focused on health? Yesterday I attended morning Mass in Wautoma. I was “blest” to have had the opportunity to do that. It does not happen often. The priest’s homily… “Mass is not about you, not about you liking the music, enjoying the visiting, liking my personality, or the way I do things, or feeling good about the message. This is an altar, not a stage! Mass is about Christ’s sacrifice of himself for your sins and his triumph over death by rising from it.”

Well, how about that new pope? There are so many things online being attributed to him that I have to be careful to make sure they are legit. The American news media have gone crazy. I realize this is history-making, but good grief, let the man breathe. Let his family breathe. My heart is hopeful. It hasn’t been for quite some time, but it is now.
Today Read Proverbs 21, memorize the verse/s that strike you RIAY Day132 Eyes on Jesus Ask yourself, “Where am I going?” Do you know? Perhaps now is the time to ask the question and find your real destination.
Good Morning! What a simply lovely weekend. Early pick-ups this morning of a family going to the Milwaukee Zoo with their extended family. The weather will be perfect for this trip.
Read #53 (May 12, 1987) in the Apostolate of Holy Motherhood book if you have it. The Christ child says “You have many fears which you must renounce. You are learning to see with the eyes of your soul. If you are to understand things of the spirit, this is necessary, that you see all in this manner, that is, in the spiritual sense, as with the eyes of your soul.”
Happy Mother’s Day Beautiful weather these past few days. The garden is in, the trees are planted, and the hanging baskets are up The Rose of Sharon shrubs are in bloom, as is the plum tree Daffodils and Tulips are making themselves known I picked asparagus and rhubarb for the first time this year The village-wide garage sales were busy, if traffic is any indication Copy work was completed and delivered yesterday
ICE New Jersey situation on Friday may end up being called M9. Democrats Rep. LaMonica McIver NJ, Newark Mayor Ras Barak, Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, and Rob Menendez Jr interfered with operations there and assaulted ICE officers. They are calling it a lawful oversight visit. Hopefully, they won’t languish 4 yrs in a jail cell before something gets done.
Trade talks with China are going well, and trade negotiations with the UK have been made. I’ll be interested in seeing exactly what they are. Also, President Trump has mediated a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Praise the Lord, things are getting ironed out. United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA, T-MEC, CUSMA) details Replaced NAFTA, Improved Rules of Origin, Modernized Agriculture, Strengthened Intellectual Property, New Chapters (for digital trade, government procurement, services, and rights addressing key 21’s 21st-century issues), enhanced labor and environmental standards, Joint Review, Sunset clause, and different names (see above parenthisis). So far, India, Israel, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam have also made or are in talks for agreements. This is a huge plus for the USA. Adding to all this, a new Pope from the USA, who I pray will be able to iron out the Church issues, is making for a very hopeful May.
Today Read Proverbs 19. Memorize the verse/s that speak to you. I chose 2 Desire without knowledge is not good; and whoever acts hastily, blunders.* Mainly in light of the new pope and my never having heard of him. RIAY Day 129– A Disposition of Reverence “Habemus Papam” -Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost -on the Feast Day of the apparition of St. Michael the Archangel in Mt. Gargano -taking the name Leo XIV (Leo III instituted the St Michael Prayer in 1886 after reportedly seeing a terrifying vision of demonic forces threatening the Church, ordering the prayer to be recited after every Low Mass, invoking St Michael as heavenly protector against evil)
Saint Michael the Archangel defend us in battle be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou O Prince of the Heavenly Host by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander about the world seeking the ruin of souls

I’m sure there is so much more to learn about him. Meanwhile, I will pray and wait for what comes next.
