Ebony has already pulled out a toe stitch. She acts like nothing happened to her. Gave her a med and need to put antibotic in her ears for an infection there. That will have to wait till the man’s awake to hold her.

Today we remember Barb O (my mom). She would have been 92. May she rest in peace.
Anniversary greetings to Dennis & Jeannette S celebrating 44 yrs.

Lots on my mind this morning to ponder. The condition of the USA and her government. The condition of the Catholic Church and those who serve her. My lack of initiative in several areas of my life. I need to take a moment and make assesments and changes to those things I know need to be changed. Why is it we humans just seem to float along thinking oh it’ll all come together eventually? Why is it we “help” others continue to just float along thinking oh they’ll get it eventually? Just lots to ponder.

Good Morning!
Thursday has finally found its way here. Ebony is brought home this afternoon at about 4.
Regular workshop pick up and drop off with a midwife check up in between. 2 more women have been added to my night run list. All copy work is up to date. All emails have been delivered. 1 for the washer, 1 for the dryer, and folding is left to do.

Did you know there are 8 very Catholic towns in the US? Apparently, in these towns, the Catholic presence is lived out daily. I wonder if this means work hours are assigned to accommodate mass times. Does this mean no one works on Sundays except for police, hospitals, etc? I’m thinking these might be a good destination for a look-see.

Hoping to get a few things accomplished this weekend around the house.

Let me know how life goes with you.

It’s almost time to leave for the morning. Back as soon as possible to get started on this.

Someone else wrote this. I will be contemplating my response to this this week. My plan is to show in scripture that their thought process needs some adjustment so they stop before someone is led astray. Your knowledge of scripture and verse will be helpful to me as I compile an accurate response.

Do you ever have the feeling that something is missing? Kind of a restlessness…something lacks, but you can’t quite put your finger on it? That there has to be something more? That “something” is a person. The living Jesus Christ. Creator, Sustainer, and ONLY Savior. He is the only one who can fill that void in our souls. Sadly, Catholicism cannot save. God says salvation is a GIFT and cannot be earned. PLEASE…don’t be deceived. Catholicism is an unbiblical system of works. The church has made up an endless parade of acts that you have to perform: baptism, sacraments, rosaries, penance, and finally purgatory, which is the final captivity the clergy invented to keep you under their thumb from birth to eternity. The problem is, they never tell you how much is enough. You will NEVER discover if you have done enough good works, prayed enough rosaries, or donated enough cash. You will spend your entire life wondering if you have earned Heaven. But you don’t have to. God answers the question in the Bible: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. In John 6, a group of followers asks how they can do the works of God, and Jesus tells them, “This is the work of God, that you BELIEVE on him whom He has sent.” In Acts 16, the Philippian jailer asks Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Paul answers, “BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.” The New Testament was written in the Greek language, and the word used is PISTEUO. It means to COMMIT ONE’S TRUST IN, to have confidence in, to entrust oneself, to place faith in, to BELIEVE. In return for this trust, Jesus says that salvation is a GIFT, freely bestowed by Him and Him alone. GOD SAYS that salvation is by faith ALONE, through Jesus Christ ALONE. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the GIFT of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest anyone should boast.” Eph 2:8,9 Did you see that? Salvation is a GIFT, and a gift can’t be earned. Are you ticking boxes on a checklist to gain approval from God? He says faith in Jesus Christ is ALL he wants or requires. Our own righteousness is not acceptable to God, because they are filthy rags to Him, as Isaiah 64:4 says. At the moment, we trust Jesus alone for salvation, and the perfect holy righteousness of Jesus is transferred to us. Salvation and justification are not a process. It’s instant, one moment in time, and eternal. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me HAS everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but HAS PASSED FROM DEATH INTO LIFE”. John 5:24 You can’t lose salvation, no matter what, because it is secured by God. Not by us. “And I give them ETERNAL life, and THEY SHALL NEVER PERISH, neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand.” John 19:28 Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I WILL come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Rev 3:20 Wouldn’t you like to know for certain that you have eternal life? Salvation is a trust fall onto Jesus, and you can do it today and KNOW that you are saved. Admit you are a sinner unable to save yourself, believe that Jesus died for you and rose again, and TRUST him and him alone. Jesus will set you free from a life chained to endless ritual and guilt. He says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free!” John 8:32 Will YOU accept the gift of salvation? Every heartbeat is a step closer to forever. Where will you spend eternity? Don’t scroll on by…this message found you for a reason.

Get the long johns out, you are going to need them in the coming week. The entire US will be chillier than normal. Snow shovel, Grit, and a survival pack, in case you get stuck. Parka, hat, vest, boots, gloves, and mittens so you are adequately dressed. Who knows it might be time to brush up on the Thanksgiving Song by Lydia Maria Child, originally published in 1844.

Over the river and through the woods
to grandmother’s house we go.
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
through the wide and drifted snow.

Over the river and through the woods,
Oh how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes and bites the nose,
as over the ground we go.

Over the river and through the woods
to have a first-rate play,
Oh, hear the bells ring, sing-a-ling-ling,
Hooray for Thanksgiving Day!

Over the river and through the woods,
Trot fast, my dapple gray.
Spring over the ground like a hunting hound
For this is Thanksgiving Day.

Over the river and through the woods
and straight through the barnyard gate.
We seem to go extremely slow;
it is so hard to wait.

Over the river and through the woods,
Now Grandmother’s cap I spy.
Hooray for the fun! Is the pudding done?
Hooray for the pumpkin pie.

Hooray for the fun!
Is the pudding done?
Hooray for the pumpkin pie!

How goes it with you? Have you been keeping up with scripture readings and noting questions/or light bulb moments in your journal? Current or behind on the RIAY? Have you found your Advent read yet? Got your Advent wreath where you can find it? Are you overwhelmed by the whole thing? If so, take it at your pace. Our goal here is to have an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus. There are no time frames, no set things you must do, except talking and listening to Him. All the rest is an aid, nothing more. It is as simple as that.

Things are heating up in the world. Be aware of it but not of it.

Today, we remember Jim Hayward, who left this life in 2011.
St. Bertille’s hospitality attracted both beggars and princesses, reminding us that Christ welcomed all who came to Him.
Yesterday I was told that my adopted children weren’t abandoned, they were delivered. It reminded me of a prayer/poem I’d seen long ago.

Not flesh of my flesh,
Nor bone of my bone,
But still miraculously my own.
Never forget for a single minute,
You did not grow under my heart,
But in it.
Fleur Conkling Heyliger

I did not carry my children in my body.
I carried them in my prayers, hopes, dreams,
tears, imagination, and heart.

Read Ezekiel 29: Egypt the Crocodile
RIAY Day 309: Lumonious Mysteries
Meditations For Each Day pg. 444: The Consolations of the Suffering Souls in Purgatory Fr. Alberione once wrote: “There is suffering in Purgatory and there is suffering in Hell, but there are essential differences between one and the other. Hell is eternal, while Purgatory is temporal. In Hell, there is no hope of salvation, whereas in Purgatory, there is the certainty of future happiness in Heaven. Hell is the lasting state of a soul that rejected God, while Purgatory is the temporary state of a soul loved and awaited by God in Heaven.”

Have an awesome day
