The external hard drive came for my family tree program/my journal/and my blog. Now I need to figure out how to move it over so I can use it on the laptop and on the notebook.

My new project is a how-to “Survive & Flourish in Marriage” folder. We have been giving them to newly married couples for some time now. My DH and I will celebrate 49 yrs next month. We have made many mistakes, had numerous mess-ups, and are still learning from them. Along the path, we have learned set-in-stone things that if we stick to them our marriage flourishes and grows. If we don’t our lives seem to go off on paths of their own and we end up being legally married but living separate lives. Send up a few prayers that we get the format perfected and find a place that will print it for us.

Brake light came on in the car. Can’t figure out why. The lines have been replaced, as have the brakes and calipers. The fluid was full when the man looked. So today I do Mass across the road instead of last night at St. John’s. Perhaps the boy will find time to stop in and check this for me today.

How about that “Sound of Freedom” movie!! I’m laughing at mainstream media trying to make a conspiracy theory out of it. Those “WOKES” are making fools of themselves. By now they should have figured out that no one but Democrats think like them. The rest of us know the truth when we see it. But then they tenuously hang on to the belief that the election wasn’t fixed (check out the FBI news) they believe that the Biden bribery case is a lie (check out the news), are hanging on the insurrection idea of J9, and all because they don’t want Trump in office. Their actions are putting him there. He’s getting mega news coverage and taking away from anyone else running on the ticket Thank you Trump haters, you are doing his team a favor. Don’t get me wrong, Trump has/did make lots of mistakes, but your “HATE” outdoes anything he has done wrong. Just like Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town”. You’ve sent him to the top of the charts.

Long day yesterday… nuff said on that

Quick run this morning to pick up dressed chickens and drop off empty egg cartons. Have a couple copy jobs to get done.

July is almost over. It is flashing by gaining momentum. Before long fall will enter the scene, school will begin.

The special amish school workshop is coming right along. The plan is for it to open when school does. I am impressed with this shop. Special needs amish children will have work opportunities here that not only help them but also help their community.

Golf cart charger should arrive today. As well as the external hard drive and a cd/DVD/burner player for my laptop. Family history will be top of the list this winter.

Street lights are extinguishing themselves as sunrise nears. Birds are greeting the dawn. Traffic is picking up. This must mean I should get moving.

There are no clothes for fat women. All there is, is skinny women clothing in larger sizes.

Don’t get your panties in a wad. This is a fat woman talking about clothing for fat women. It is reality. I’m not even sorry your feels are hurt, I don’t know you, I’m not talking about you. If you identify enough to have hurt feelings that’s your problem, not mine.

Spandex…why would a fat woman shove her body into something that will cling like second skin to it? Makes no sense at all.

Wild prints…come on, get real, fat women wearing wild prints, you get noticed. Along with all the extra weight you carry.

Cap sleeves-sleeveless shirts. Yes, your flabby xxlrg upper arms hanging out the flapping in the breeze.

It is time to find a clothing designer who wants to cater to big, boned, broad shouldered fat women.

One who will design clothing for women who want a modist,good fit, stylish, age appropriate, comfortable material in a pattern that accents the good parts of your body and diminishes the bad parts.

There must be someone out there who fits the bill.

Nights have been cool enough for those little 🐀 to think they can invade the 🏠. Another one bites the dust. It is times like this, I miss Bart & PB. No, we are not getting new pets. At our ages, that’s just too much to deal with. We’ve had 47 yrs of house pets, the hair is finally gone. Nope, not going there again.

Have you been keeping tabs on the ridiculous things going on in government now? Why do we put up with these childish tantrums? They are making a mockery of our government and judicial systems. Let’s not even get into some of the stupid things coming out of Washington these days.

Relatively easy day ahead of me. Hoping to keep it that way.

Did I tell you about the little wheeled cart the man found at a rummage sale? It needed new wheels, which he replaced. A laundry basket fits on top, and a deep square dish pan fits on the bottom. There’s a rod to hold hangers. It is the perfect laundry tool. All for under $25 and an application of heavy elbow grease.

This cart will take groceries from the car, meat to the freezer, wet laundry to the line, dry laundry to the house, and cleaning supplies around the house. So many uses that will make life easier for this old lady.

Psst…did you notice the rubber bumpers? They brought to mind “rubber baby buggy bumpers” say that 10 times as fast as you can.

Cool this morning on the porch. Glad to have a shawl to wrap around me.

Do you remember the little girl Natalie we’ve been praying for? Her cancer is back. The young amish mother we’ve been praying for is not doing well either. May their suffering be redemptive.

Another hour with the crochet hook, and I will be finished edging the afghan. V will finally get it back. My procrastinating is almost over.

I’m looking for a small cabin/shed to put in the backyard. If you have one you want to get rid of, let me know.

Apparently, a couple of my posts have touched a few nerves. I generally find that when that happens to me, the subject is one I don’t really want to look at/deal with.

I need a new book to read any suggestions?

Here we are, Monday has rolled around again. The trucker is just returning to the rig he parked on Fri night. Lights are flicking on around the neighborhood. The weekend has ended. It is time to begin again.

Ven. Matt Talbot, St. Maximilian Kolbe… pray for the alcoholics in my life. Bring them to Christ, lay their names at his feet. May they have their conversion moment and walk the road of sobriety. We pray… God of mercy, we bless you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who came to him. Give your strength to all of those struggling with addiction and substance abuse. Enfold them in your love and restore them to the freedom of God’s children.

Praising God for new baby (Marlin) that came in the middle of the night. This is #4 for her. Brought them down to the clinic at 1230 last evening. Will be taking them home shortly.

Lovely wedding yesterday. Our great niece began her ever after story.

The porch is cool this morning. Very nice sitting out here watching the sunrise.

Let’s talk tatoos… I’ve wanted one for as long as I can remember. I will never get one. Why not you ask… my dad said no, they last forever, look ugly when you are old, and are forbidden by God (Leviticus 19:28) only pagans, sluts, and drunken soldiers (as he waves his arm) do that. You are none of those.

He was right. They fade and mottle together, looking like a smudge on your skin. Time changes perspective. My children have them and believe they may have had something to drink beforehand, and at least two were soldiers. Although only one had admitted to have been sloshed. They also are a fad now… Hollywood has made them “gotta have”

I will stick with “sacrifice”. I will only dream of having one.
