Our Lady of Good Remedy
After much thought, I am wondering why Our Lady of Good Remedy could not intercede for those slaves of human trafficking. She helped the Christian slaves in 1198. Why not now? So, I wrote a prayer asking for her help.
Dearest Mary
We come to you and the Christ child
just as the Trinitarians did in 1198
to free the slaves (child & adult)
caught in human trafficking.
We place them in your hands and
the hands of the Christ Child
under the title of
“Our Lady of Good Remedy”
so that ultimately
they will be freed through
Christ’s passion and resurrection
Amen.

Our bus Tour to Gower, MO, has been postponed till the 21/22 due to the heat. I hope to touch them to Sr. Wilhelmina Lancaster.

The old knees are a mess. The cyst in the left wrist and behind left knee will be evaluated for removal soon.
I will not go into how NOT golden these years are.
Today, I am home till a phone call with a time comes in. Gib will be with us too.

Oh, and I wanted to remind you… Every Friday of the year is meatless unless you substitute a different sacrifice. However, no substitutions can be done during Lent. Also one must fast at least 1 hr before every Mass you attend. Some have forgotten this, others have been taught wrong, and some who teach are teaching wrong.

Really looking forward to the movie “Sound of Freedom” on the 3rd. Not a clue how many will see it, but I am hoping many. Sex trafficking children has been swept under the rug. Our children are sexualized on a daily basis by children’s clothing and groomers. Parents encourage by allowing children to wear provocative clothing. We have a crisis in this country that no one wants to acknowledge. This movie will be painful and sickening to watch, but it is so needed for us to watch to feel sickened so that our eyes are opened to what the real agenda is.
The world is losing faith in God. We have been systematically brain washed into looking the other way, into keeping ourselves too busy, into letting ourselves believe we are giving our children more than we had when in fact we have given them way less of our time, our attention, our thoughts, our faith…we have allowed them to becomes the generation that is complained about in the work force.
We have allowed television, movie stars, athletes, and schools to raise our children. We abdicated our parental authority to whomever talked a good line. We have failed to pass on the faith because that faith didn’t allow something that we wanted to do or made us feel guilty and uncomfortable or hurt our feelings.
All humans were created to long for God. We all have that “something is missing” feeling. That “hole” we keep dumping stuff into. That “missing piece” is only filled by God. Yet we continue to resist because God’s demand for total surrender is too hard, too painful, not fun, and doesn’t make me the most important.
I am as guilty as you are in this area. Pray for me in this regard.

Bird song has begun
Something about mornings, perhaps it’s something about new beginnings that appeals to me.
Windchimes tinkel in the breeze. Limbs sway, leaves flutter, grass rustles, and pond water laps the shoreline in harmony with the wind.
No traffic sounds, or artificial light, marring the morning. Sunbeams glow just below the horizon, giving promise of the day to come.
Wildlife wanders out of hiding to begin their daily search for sustenance. Perhaps sustenance is what I, too, search for at this hour of day.
Rain came last evening, gray skies lend one to think more may come. Thanksgiving for the much needed moisture is given. Thankfulness for the cooling breeze is offered. All to the creator of this beautiful world.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Summit Ridge WI
145 yrs of serving the Summit Ridge Catholic Community.
How “Blest” we have been for the priests assigned to us over the years.
The faithfulness of parish members is one to mark the calendar with. St. John’s may have 20 registered families, and as many more faithful Saturday night Mass attendees.
