I’m putting this out there once again… GET RID OF DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME! It serves no good purpose any longer. Let us get back to the basics… SUN TIME. Where our bodies were made to be. In sync with nature’s way of marking time.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all politicians acted in the best interest of their constituents and the United States? Went to DC, worked hard, and retired after their terms expired instead of making a career out of it. The entire process has become a sham. It doesn’t have to be that way.

It seems power goes to people’s heads. Even here in our little village, the power seekers identify themselves with puffed up egos. Swaggering thru the marketplace with the signatures akin to prominence dancing in their head.

We humans have lost our humility. Which isn’t unusual considering that since the beginning, we have refused to practice that virtue. Most days, we refuse to acknowledge our superior abilities in some areas, are God-given. Therefore, allowing us to wrongfully believe we are entitled to our arrogant, prideful behaviors.

Of this, I am guilty. Daily, I choose to forget God’s superiority. Pray for me.

Shawl needed on the porch this morning. Very enjoyable to feel the coolness of the breeze.

Ultrasound of left knee and left wrist tomorrow morning.

Beginning to think I need a new body, this one isn’t holding up these days. In all truthfulness, it is my own fault. I haven’t taken very good care of it. 1 Corinthians 6 talks to us about our body being the temple of the Holy Spirit. So many things connect us to God. SOUL-SPIRIT-BODY 1 Thessalonians 5:23 speaks to this. There are several other verses as well. They can all be searched for. Do this for yourself.

If you are not practicing your faith, get back to it. Lack of practice leads to acedia, which leads to the unforgivable sin. Matt 12:31-32, Mark 3:21-30, Luke 12:10.

Acedia is a form of sloth – apathy caused by neglecting one’s faith and moral life. The neglect is intentional because one gets too absorbed in work, activities, and distractions, which devour your time. These take precedence over the need to nurture one’s friendship with God—in sum, “it just doesn’t matter”.

It came!!

Awhile back I talked to you about Our Lady of Good Remedy and asking her to go to Jesus regarding human trafficking.

I ordered her medal from the Trinitarians. It came today. I’m still waiting for her statue. It is on back order.  I added the medal to my chain of Our Lady of Victory and Sacred Heart of Jesus.  I have worn them for over 25 yrs.  Will be starting the daily pray on on Sunday for victims of human trafficking… join me.

Dream filled sleep last night… probably due to watching “The Cokeville Miracle” on Tubi.  Another good movie without sexual innuendo or bad language.  One of the characters struck home with me.

Purchased mums yesterday. The man got them in the ground for me last night. God is watering them for me this morning.  Great price, $8; I’ll need 2 more to finish the bed out front.

Japanese beetles have arrived.

Off to LaX this morning for xrays/ultrasound of knees.  The man will go with me.  Txs to neighbor “B” I have found night relief by placing pillow under knees when sleeping. 

Need to pick squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers this morning before we leave.

So, here we are, almost mid-August, almost 8.5 months into the year… how’s your friendship with Jesus going? Still too busy to fit him in? Perhaps what the real problem is… you’d have to change how you do things. You’d have to give up your total control, trust that someone else was better at directing your life, and if that wasn’t hard enough to do, you’d have people noticing that you changed and you’d probably have to explain… GASP… it’s the real problem, isn’t it. You are afraid someone will notice and question. Don’t worry… Luke 12:12… God has your back.

We head home today after enjoying a much needed time away.

The shrines we visited were worth the drive. St Kateri was a favorite of my F-i-l and is also dd#1’s confirmation saint. However, at the time Kateri was blessed, permission was needed. St. Odilia is the patroness of eye issues. Our dd#4 and our niece I were laid before her to take to Jesus.

These two shrines are very small, are located in out of the way places, and were unknown to us until about a month ago. Well worth the drive.

Prayer for the Crosier Order they are aging out. May God bring them young men to be priests & brothers.
