Slept well, very well, as a matter of fact. Never heard my son-in-law, KM come in. I’m glad he knows his way around and has made himself comfortable.

The man is headed for Texas this morning by way of Tulsa (where he will meet SM) and land for the evening at B&LS’. He had a wonderful relaxing time at J&DC’s last evening. The end game is D&BC’s new home and returning with the travel trailer sometime on Sunday.

The man is playing golf today with his brother in KC. He will then move on to TX, spend time with friends, pick up the travel trailer, and head home. I suspect I’ll see him on Saturday sometime.

If you ask me, the hand continues to improve—it’s darn slow. It’s still hypersensitive, but it seems to be less in the mornings.

Started filling in the new planner for 2025. I went with the passionate penny pincher work planner and home planner this time. I didn’t realize they were two separate ones. I will say I am going to like the separation. However, both need a snap closer with a pen loop inside the tab. I will probably suggest that. The tote bag that came with them is not up to par in quality. The size is good however the color, and design(on the front) are lacking and it smells like industrial chemicals.

My son-in-law will be here sometime today.

More papers burned, more books sorted. The man mowed the lawn and trimmed the shrubs. Ashes removed from barrel and spread on garden. The man will take my Monday run. The hand isn’t ready for it yet.

Thought for today… “Life is like a stairway. We are either going up or coming down.” When we continually climb toward Jesus we come closer to perfection. When we halt, our life in Jesus weakens, tepidity steps in, and sin soon follows. We must grow, for us to become more intimately involved with Jesus.

So nice to see DD#1, glad she was able to make this a stopover place. The man had a fun time at the Coe vs UWEC exciting game I’m told.

The hand continues to improve, sensitivity still too high. Fatigues easily while driving, will have to make some adjustments in that area.

DD#1 stayed over last evening. She, the man, the boy & his girl are headed to UW-EauClaire to the game @ 1. G’son plays for Coe. DD didn’t seem interested in using my WI bag. Hmmm.

Spare room back in order. Still have touch-up painting and trim painting to complete, an area rug to find, & a sliding door to hang, but that is for another day. I am pleased with the results thus far. Just something about car siding on the ceiling that makes a room interesting.

Next year’s planner arrived, as did the book embosser… both are above and beyond expectations. Expecting two more packages today and a couple next week, Nice to get some shopping done ahead of time.

Old papers still need more sorting. Tidious job to go thru them all but must get done. I cannot imagine someone else having to do this once we are dead and gone.

Fall is upon us here in the driftless. Beanfields have started to turn golden, the cornstalks have started to dry, and the scramble for that last cut of hay is on. Fall flowers have brightened the gardens, and summer flowers have given up their last blooms. Soon the fallow time will be upon us. May we all take heed of God’s plan to rest.

Not so patiently waiting for packages. MTI quitting mail transport delivery is causing a backup at the PO; believe me, they had issues before this. Very short on delivery carriers. I am fortunate with my carrier, she’s sharp, precise, and punctual. Not to mention overworked.

The man will finish the ceiling in the spare room today. I’m excited about having that room back together and functioning. Still looking for an area rug but I have a vintage in mind so may be a while.

Today I have an early pick up and drop off, then to LaCrosse for a vision appt. Hopefully home by noon to get things in place before KA arrives.

In the Catholic Tradition let’s talk about the Most Trinity…
-The bonds of love between God and us: broken by sin, restored by redemption.
-The bond between Jesus and us should be intimate like that of husband and wife.
-The bond between the Holy Spirit… our body should be a temple for him, never allowing sin to
deprive us of him.
Tall order for us but nothing is impossible.

I don’t know about you but I have had all I can take of the Harris/Walz team. They have a profoundly evil platform. How can they live with the things they want to do? They are systematically destroying the middle and lower class of the US by abortion, free programs, and openly promoting intrinsically evil programs. I’ve also had about enough of the Trump/Vance hype and drama. So that leaves us with how do you vote when all the choices are bad? For me it means “who stands for life” because without life there is no country, no vote, no reason to vote. So the question remains who stands for life the most? Who believes in God (really believes it)? Whose programs promote the good of the whole the most? Who has the best moral standard? Choose that one before there is nothing left.
