Melvin G Miller passed yesterday… funeral Wednesday. Daniel Petershiem’s baby died yesterday in Edgewood… funeral Wednesday. Death in KS… funeral on Wednesday. May God have mercy on their souls.

Great time yesterday playing cards with the extended family. It is a must to do it again soon.

Today let’s look at finding Jesus in the Temple… “Did you not know I must be about my Father’s business?” Jesus is 12 yrs old… his parents are frantic to find him… they search frantic of losing him. Are you frantic over losing Jesus?

The weekend has arrived. Gibbs will be with us today. Doing October’s budget sheet. Headed for Mass at 4pm SH as will be gone for SJ 8pm. Need to read and contemplate chapter 2 of the IGSTM for next Thurs. Laundry needs to be finished.

Book discussion went well, by that I mean we all showed up, had read the chapter, and then we commenced catching up with each other and wondered why we hadn’t done this before now. Time was too short, but so good. Next week same time.

Today I drive my neighbor to an appointment and back. Then mid afternoon I pick up a teacher and take her home. Another fun, easy day. For this I am grateful.

Today is ORANGE SHIRT DAY… a day to remember the native american/canadian children who were abused, neglected, and murdered in the Indian Boarding schools of the US & Canada. 973 children died in Federal Indian Boarding Schools in America. Estimates of deaths in Canadian schools range from 3,200 to 30,000. Take a moment today to educate yourself in regards to the mistreatment of indigenous children and adults in North America. In today’s world there are 5,712 reports of missing American Indian and Alaska Native women.
