Send the Holy Ghost to me

Today
-Read Psalms 73-75
-RIAY Day 51
-Memory Verse – Proverbs 30:7-9 “Two things I ask of you, do not deny them to me before I die:
Put falsehood and lying far from me, give me neither poverty nor riches; provide me only with the food I need; Lest, being full, I deny you, saying, “Who is the LORD?” Or, being in want, I steal, and profane the name of my God.

5:30 pick-up this morning, then 6:30, then 7:00, and finally 8:00. Home for day and at 3 do it all over again. Found a counted cross stitch & needle in the car yesterday, wonder who that belongs to. Once again, I will attempt to shelve more books upstairs. I’m cleaning out the old laptop to place it up there should someone need it and placing a printer up there too. Then it is on to setting up the sewing machine in the office area. Who knows, I may even get a new outfit made. A post office stop is in order as well as a copy job needing to be delivered.

The weather is much warmer today. Hoping it will reach into the high 20’s and keep climbing. Word has it more winter weather coming in on Monday.

Ash Wednesday is in 13 days. Have you decided what your Lenten read will be? Are you contemplating making changes? Have you pondered how your restart is going? Is it going or has it dwindled down to nothing? Perhaps you are attempting to run before you have learned to walk.

Know you are prayed for.

-Memory Verse – Nehemiah 8:10 –He continued: “Go, eat rich foods and drink sweet drinks, and allot portions to those who had nothing prepared; for today is holy to our LORD. Do not be saddened this day, for rejoicing in the LORD is your strength!” going further with Psalms 46:11 (10 in the protestant bible) “Be still and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”

Good Morning! The temps are 10° warmer this morning, and by week’s end will be in the mid 20’s. The snow is still beautiful to see. This is the last week of the winter reading program at the library. Get your book sheet filled out and turned in to win prizes. The man helped me out yesterday saving me a trip to Iowa by picking up some people for me on his way back from Illinois. I am grateful to him for that. This morning will be a crowded ride with people from the wake last evening and an unexpected trip to Bangor after workshop drop-offs this morning.

Take a few moments to inventory your lives this morning.

RIAY Day 48 Mother & Queen
MV- Memory Verse – Sirach 1:1 – All wisdom is from the Lord and remains with him forever.

Greetings from the arctic chill in the Wilds of Wisconsin. Winter has finally graced us with his presence. Over 8″ of the white stuff has landed on the ground. We have shoveled out. The weekend was spent ill with the winter crud. I accomplished almost nothing. Many thanks to my neighbor BF for checking up on me and feeding me. Thank you to my sil Kris for plowing out the driveway. The man returned home at about 1900 last evening. His weekend was enjoyable. This morning I’m thinking about my sis JS. Please keep her in your prayers she’s having a hard go with the death of her mother a while back. Funny how grief can grab you and keep you in its clutches for a while. The heat pad has returned to the right leg below and to the right of the kneecap. Today is a relatively easy day on the schedule. No school for the locals. The Amish, however, are having school, therefore the teachers need to be delivered by 8 am, parts need to be picked up & delivered to Chester, the workshop workers need to be picked up & delivered to the workshop, and copy work needs delivering. Then the reverse needs to happen around 3pm. My stuffy nose, headache, and aches and pains have lessened… hopefully, leaving me forever TODAY! My plants need some attention (I am a terrible plant person). I must get to the library and pick up my book. I must find a laminating machine as mine died.

Setting Priorities
1. Create a task list
2. I identify what is important
3. Identify what is urgent
4. Order tasks based on importance and urgency
5. Consider the amount of time needed to complete task
6. Schedule tasks in advance allowing enough time for completion
7. Eliminate distractions
8. Regularly review your list

Sometimes you just have to do it.

Know you are prayed for.

Today
Go to church, ponder the scripture reading

Less than a restful night’s sleep. Up and down with dry sore throat, and stuffy nose. I’m thinking I have caught whatever has been lurking around the neighborhood. The plan is to return to bed and stay there, for the entire day. My Monday is going to be too busy to deal with sickness then.

Coffee excellent!

Today
-RIAY Day 46 -Come Holy Spirit
Take/make the time to catch up today with those things you need to. Journal a bit about how things have changed for you since you began your restart.

The snow is beautiful. Makes everything look so clean and bright… at least for today. All the shelves have been hung upstairs. I will sort books and fill shelves today. Got a sign for over the kneeler that says, “When life gets too hard to stand, kneel”. Have a couple of copy jobs to do. Of course, the laundry. Will make vegetable soup in the crock pot today.

Off to get it done.

Morning Offering given

O glorious advocate and protector,
St. Valentine,
look with pity upon our wants,
hear our requests,
attend to our prayers,
relieve by your intercession,
the miseries under which we labor,
and obtain for us the divine blessing,
that we may be found worthy
to join you in praising the
Almighty for all eternity:
through the merits of
Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Today
-Read Psalm 61-63
-RIAY Day 45
-MV – 1 Corinthians 10:23 (DR) – “All things are lawful for me, but all things do not edify.”

Quick and easy day ahead. Bookshelves were put up last evening upstairs. I’m so looking forward to getting those books shelved and that middle area in order. It has been decided the space will belong to the man so he has a private space to ponder things. I (of course) will have to read there.

The Sacrament of Penance is a path to reconciliation, allowing us to turn away from sin and return to God. By removing the vices and defects of our lower faculties, we allow the supernatural virtue of fortitude to work within us, enabling us to resist evil and sin. Let us turn to Our Lady, asking for her intercession, that she may help us become holy, true workers of God, committed to living authentically and faithfully to His will.

RIAY Day 43 The Veil is Torn

Snow is falling at quite a pace right now. Roads are covered but not hard to drive on. Washer and dryer both running and a basket waiting to be folded. Had a hard time getting myself going this morning. Just feel worn out with little ambition to get things done. Totally enjoyed the thrift store on Irish Ridge this morning after I dropped off the workshop workers. Finally finished-up marking the memory verses in the bible. The office could use some attention as well. Nice visit with BIL Tom. Great time in Eau Claire yesterday with Ermy & Emmy.
