Mass St Mary’s Ridge…because pews are high enough and far enough apart to be a comfortable kneel. In my advancing years this is important. Now if only they’d install a hearing loop.

Naptime was great.

Sts Crispin & Crispinian were shoemakers who served the poor for free, teaching us that there are many ways to be missionaries.

Take a moment to review the notes you’ve taken while reading scripture with me. Make a note of any questions you may have. Take note of any changes you have experienced within yourself because of your scripture reading or rosary prayers. Has making time for Christ changed the way you perceive the world? Are you setting aside enough time, or too much? Make the necessary adjustments to your schedule. Consider taking notes during the homily at Mass that you can go back to while you ponder what has been said. Have you prayed about what changes are needed in your lifestyle? Have you been to confession? Perhaps setting a confession time on your scheduling calendar that repeats every so often would be helpful. Are you reading more reflective books? The type that encourage the changes you’ve decided to make in your life? Are you sharing your faith with someone else?

Good Morning!
October has less than a week left to it.
November will bring a whole new set of things to deal with, celebrate, etc. Before you know it, Advent will begin. Nov 30 and another new month will come with it. Life seems to be moving so quickly it is hard to believe a new year is a few short weeks away.
The man and I have slowed our calendar this year. For the most part we’ve been sticking to that paramiter. We’ve begun attending Adoration at a 24 hr Adoration Chapel close to us. It allows us to spend quiet prayerful time together. It has been a good thing.
We’ve slowly been working on unfinished projects here around the house. Perhaps today will see the enclosure of the front porch for winter. All depends on wind direction and speed.
Ebony survived her 1st trip to the Vet. She’s back to her old self again. In Nov. she will be taken in again to be spayed and have her front paws declawed. Not to worry, she won’t be off leash outside.
Finished a copy job received last evening, will deliver it Monday morning.
Cold has brought some stiffness back into the finger joints. I need to pull out my knitting and crochet work to get and keep the fingers moving. Or perhaps the embroidery hoop would do the same thing. We shall see.

Know you are prayed for.

Today, we remember Rich O, who would have been 88 had he lived. May he rest in peace.

St Martin of Vertou is an example of attracting believers by his simple goodness, reminding us to persevere. “May my strengths and my weaknesses keep me on Your path, oh Lord.”

Read Ezekiel 21: The Sword of the Lord
RIAY Day 297: The Sorrowful & Glorious Mysteries
Meditations for Each Day pg 426 “Lead Us Not Into Temptation” excerpt… “we should never go voluntarily into an occasion of sin”“if we fail to recognise our own frailty and expose ourselves voluntarily to the risk of committing sin, God is not obliged to work a miracle to save us”

The “Fall” season is definitely upon us. The tree color is fading, soon they will fall to the ground, turning into fertilizer for the land, which in turn will feed the tree come spring. It is time to collect the seeds needed for spring planting. Time to clear off and put to bed the earth of our garden, readying it for the fallow time of rest and renewal. “The Circle of Life” never stops. All things begin, mature, produce, and die. Each stage contributes to the next. Each stage has specific purpose. Each stage is necessary for the success of the next.

As a human, I have entered into the Fall of my life. It is time for me to clear off the debris/waste and turn it into fertilizer for the next generation. It is time to ready myself for the next stage in the circle.

It was such fun to shop and lunch with my friend Faye S yesterday. Always good to catch up and visit. We must not wait so long to do these things. Today I pick up and drop off the workshop workers, take the teacher home, take Ebony to the vet for shots, and pick up a couple at the train station. Have to pick up card stock and finish 1 copy job.

Today is the last Auction of the season, and it is a big one. Items have been showing up since Monday, and the auction yard is full. I will be delivering the donuts about 7am… fresh, yummy glazed. Looking forward to lunch with a good friend after I deliver the workshop workers. Early evening it is off to Stoddard to pick up the fishermen and return them home.

I am a blest woman.

Soggy and damp outside this morning. A chill in the air and no doubts about the possibility of slick roads in the valleys. Yesterday I noted 30° on E Norweign Rd at 7AM.
Today I’ll be in LaCrosse for most of the day. 1 copy job completed.

October has 10 days left to it. Moving quickly isn’t it? Think about that. There are no guarantees for tomorrow. Get to confession, go to mass… even if you don’t feel like it, even if you don’t believe. If you are right, you’ve lost nothing. If you are wrong, you’ve lost everything when your time is up. It is never too late; there is no “too big” a sin that can’t be confessed and forgiven. Do what it takes. At least, start your list.

Good Morning! We have been “blest” to wake up to another Monday morning. I often forget that I wake at the leisure of God. Seeing another sunrise is not a given for sure thing. It is a gift from God himself to me. Another chance to work on my relationship with him and draw myself closer to him.

“Each new day, including this one, is an opportunity to begin something new. I’m praying for your fresh start.”

Today is my day off. I have every intention of enjoying it. I ran across a new-to-me book called “The Mothers’ Rosary” by Paula Capps. It speaks to saying the rosary for the intentions of your children. I’m kicking around the idea of a rosary group composed of mothers whose children have fallen away from or have become lukewarm in the faith (regardless of age). Wondering if anyone else has an interest in this?
