Our bus Tour to Gower, MO, has been postponed till the 21/22 due to the heat.  I hope to touch them to Sr. Wilhelmina Lancaster.

Earlier, I posted about the letter giveaway. I absolutely loved the Audry Rose letters. A VDF shared them with me.

The old knees are a mess.  The cyst in the left wrist and behind left knee will be evaluated for removal soon.

I will not go into how NOT golden these years are.

Today, I am home till a phone call with a time comes in.  Gib will be with us too.

Hot & muggy are the words for today.

Well, the insurance adjuster called with their offer regarding the cadi. I told him there was no way I’d accept that offer. I can not begin to tell you how unhappy we are with American Family. They are so lacking in the customer service area. The last straw was when covid was used as an excuse for no one coming out to look at the damage done to the car by the hit & run driver. How lame in the excuse department. We will be insurance shopping.

We leave Monday morning for our bus tour. So looking forward to it.

The man sleeps

Woke this morning to lightning slashing the sky while thunder rumbled, shaking the ground. Much needed rain is falling in gentle waves. The screens here on the porch are saturated with coveted water.  The wind is a cooling breeze.  No complaints will be heard. Today, we will celebrate answered prayer.  The roping corn leaves will unfurl and drink in the moisture. Nature will sigh with relief and open itself, taking a long drink of this liquid gold. We all give thanks and praise to God for hearing our pleas for rain and responding.

Nice visit last evening with s-i-l and niece.

The AC unit quit last night. Am thinking the electricity flashed on and off. The man will handle it today.

Gibs will be visiting again today. He is quite the character. He comandeered a chair on the porch. He likes this one best.

Friday I was waiting for a package. Saturday it said in tracking it was in town it did not come. Sunday, I cked tracking the PO HAD SENT IT TO ANOTHER TOWN…go figure. Monday, it arrived in mailbox. I was surprised there weren’t two packages as the one that was scheduled to arrive Monday said it was out for delivery. This Morning the out for delivery package says…

Um why wasn’t it left on porch like normal? Or even in the empty large mailbox like normal? And who requested it be held at PO? No one contacted me by phone. This does not make sense. Will ask at PO this morning. Issue solved…package coming today.

Gibb is coming today while his human goes on vacation.
