St. Joseph reveals how wonderfully God rewards a simple, dignified life of obedience. Jesus help me to give tribute to kind and humble parents who sacrifice so much.
Meditations for Each Day pg.104 St. Joseph Chosen by God to head the Holy Family. The Lord and King of Heaven and Earth was obedient to Him, as was the Holy Mother. He lived for thirty years and had the privilege of clasping the holy Infant to his breast. Mat 1:19 describes him as a just man.

Romans 7:4-6 In the same way, my brothers, you also were put to death to the law through the body of Christ, so that you might belong to another, to the one who was raised from the dead in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, our sinful passions, awakened by the law, worked in our members to bear fruit for death.b 6 But now we are released from the law, dead to what held us captive, so that we may serve in the newness of the spirit and not under the obsolete letter.c
