Chair of St Peter... by choosing Peter to lead His Church, Jesus showed us that perfect faith is both a process and a gift. Lord, help me to learn from my mistakes and blunders, as St Peter did, so that I can spend my lafe drawing ever closer to You.
Beautiful sunshine today. Deceiving in the warmth area, but beautiful for the day. Our faith can be like that. All cozy, warm, obedient, and devout on the outside with nothing touching us on the inside. This morning in Adoration I started a book on lukewarmness. Revelation 3:15-16 “I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot.* I wish you were either cold or hot. 16* So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
Lukewarm Christians are those who sit in the pews, believing the message, but have no meaningful engagement in the mission. Matthew 25:1-13…The Maidens; Matthew 25: 14-30…The Wicked Servant: Matthew 25:31-46…The Goats The saddest thing about faith is that there is no middle ground. You are either committed, all in, or not. Are you a SHEEP or a GOAT? Do you use your talents for the good of God or hide them? Do you want to be saved from your sin, or just saved from the penalty of your sin? The sign of genuine, saving faith is a passionate commitment to the fame of God, the people of God, and the mission of God.
