Last evening, “Loaded Nacos” from Jose’s food truck hit the spot. Love their green sauce.
This morning, I’m thinking of getting everything off the front porch and doing a deep clean. Time to strip off the pillow covers and get them washed. Power spray the wicker furniture and the porch itself, and spray for insects. As ever, I have too much stuff. It has been a great summer, even though I didn’t use it much. Soon, the man and the boy will enclose it once again in the winter acrylic panels, along with removing the AC units. The man did another wall in the kitchen with sheetrock and wainscoting. I see how things are shaping up and am getting excited for the new look. This weekend brings the Fall Fest. Always fun to watch the parade from the porch.
I muse over getting away for a retreat weekend with some of my Catholic Mom friends. October was the month we had done this for many years. Over the past few years, with all of us “maturing,” the gatherings haven’t happened. I’ve found that I really do need this time. Today’s Daily Meditation addresses this need. I should heed it.
