On Labor Day, we honor the dignity of work and pray for all workers,
asking for strength, compassion, and justice in the workplace.

Prayer for Workers:
“We pray for a renewed sense of dignity in the lives of all workers. God, in your goodness, you have made a home for the worker. Make a place in our hearts for compassion towards those who labor tirelessly for basic necessities. Be with us all, Christ Jesus, as we go about the busyness of our work. Amen.”
Thanksgiving for Work:
“We thank You for the blessing of work. We ask for strength to complete each day and for rest when we are weary. May our labor be fruitful and bring good for all. Amen.”
Prayer for Fair Treatment:
“We pray for fair treatment and just compensation for all workers. Let integrity and fairness guide all employers, and may respect and equity prevail in every workplace. Protect the rights of every worker. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Prayer for Safe Working Conditions:
“Ensure safe working conditions for all. Guard against any danger and provide a secure environment where each person can perform their duties without fear of injury or harm. Be their shield and protector. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Prayers of the Faithful:
“We pray for the men and women who are not able to find jobs, that they may have perseverance and determination as they seek ways to participate in God’s creative work. We pray for all essential workers, that they are provided safe working conditions and access to affordable healthcare.”
