-In 1611, the KJV was first published. There were misprints (He & She Bibles 1st & 2nd printings-Ruth 3:15, Judas Bible-1613, Matt 26:36, Matt 27:5, & Acts 1, and Wicked Bible 1631, Exodus 20:14). Note modern translations may omit the following verses with the explanation of them not being in the earliest and best Greek manuscripts… Matthew 17:21, 18:11, 23:14; Mark 7:16, 9:44, 46; Acts 8:37; 1 John 5:7-8. When checking verses from different Bibles, your best reference would be the Latin Vulgate (Douay-Rheims). Using the bible your church uses for the Mass readings is always your best bet. Read all the footnotes listed and all corresponding verses noted to get the correct meaning.
