  1. Very interesting being that I carry two of those disorders. One was triggered when I was 18 and went into a sort of remission in it’s severity, only to rear its ugly head 12 years later after getting postpartum depression after the birth of my third child. It has stayed for good now. There are no actual patterns known like family having it to explain why I have it. Now it can be passed on to my generations of family coming along. Meds are great these days. But it doesn’t remove it. Just stabilize me. So I can lead a productive life.

    I don’t take meds for the other disorder but now as an older adult I should as it’s affecting my life much more that it’s considered necessary to get help because I feel I can’t function like normal people can. It’s ADHD. I get so distracted I think I am getting alzheimer’s. My therapist says that’s not so. Or it could be meds I take that are affecting me now. Anyhow, I just know I need to speak up to the psychiatrist on my next visit.
