In the Catholic Tradition… Feast Day of Pope Martin I “Martin the Confessor” 649-655. He was the only Pope (when Constantinople controlled the papacy) whose election had not awaited an imperial mandate. Due to his strong opposition to Monothelitism ( theological doctrine in Christianity proposed in the 7th century but ultimately rejected by the sixth ecumenical council. It held Christ as having only one will and was thus contrary to dyothelitism (the Christological doctrine accepted by most Christian denominations which hold Christ as having two wills (divine & human)), he was arrested by Emperor Constans II and carried off to Constantinople, and ultimately banished to Cherson. He is considered a saint by the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church, as well as the last pope recognized as a martyr. (Note… there is controversy regarding this entry. Check your church history for the rest of the story.)
I’m going to gripe… yes, again. My car was to have been completed and returned to me LAST week. It was not. Instead, they said, “oh, this and that didn’t come in, but we will have it done MONDAY.” Let us add this to the earlier gripe of the day it was to be started on. You know the day the owner-of-the-shop decided his non-functioning car made it necessary to take OUR LOANER VEHICLE for his own use. Which meant WE had to rent a vehicle instead. Yes, the insurance company is paying but NOT FOR THE ENTIRE BILL (something I will gripe about extensively later). Due to this DELAY (because the body shop miserably FAILED to plan in advance (they had 2 months to plan)) WE will be ON THE HOOK for the rental issue. I find this unacceptable, completely and totally UNACCEPTABLE! rant over for today
The hand-typing is better, but still numb/tingly. The feet- numb & tingly returning so will need to return to using the 2x daily routine (sigh, so time-consuming). The knee-better, and will be great once this damp weather leaves us. All of these things sort of feel like a “Catch 22” To make them feel good and function better, I must lose weight. Losing weight means I must move and exercise… all this moving and exercising makes EVERYTHING hurt, which then prevents exercise… well you get the picture. This will probably be moved to the future rant list.
