In the Catholic Tradition we look at the 12th Station of the Eucharist…”The Last Supper”…Luke 22
Jesus took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it saying “THIS IS MY BODYGIVEN FOR YOU” “THIS CUP IS THE NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD SHED FOR YOU” Those men at the last supper saw it themselves, passed it down person to person knowing full well exactly what Jesus meant, and knowing they must pass it down exactly as he meant it. Today when you walk into the Catholic Church you see the sacrifice of the mass as it was done then. HIS Body, HIS Blood for you.
