Abraham, our father in faith, was promised a nation, was promised descendants as numerous as the stars. God tested him by asking him to sacrifice his only son. Out of obedience, he did just that… having his son carry the wood for the sacrifice up the mountain. Familiar story isn’t it? A clear foreshadowing of the sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary… A father, with his only son, who carried the wood, who was the sacrifice, had thorns on his head.

There will be a memorial service in August (date to be announced) at the Mead Cemetery N of Manchester, IA for Larry Lillibridge. Please join us there to say goodbye to this faithful friend.
