Another new tire was purchased yesterday. Nail… Amish driveway. AGAIN!
Must finish up copy work. Have been procrastinating and that is not good. Have 3 separate jobs to complete and another to talk to someone about.
Still waiting on a book. Should be here this week from ABE Books. Also have an examination journal on the way. Will use that one as a template for daily journal questions. It is easy to overlook those things that lead us deeper into the sin of acedia without thinking.
Acts 17:28a,30-31 “In Him we live and move and have our being” “God has overlooked the times of ignorance, but now he demands that all people everywhere repent because he has established a day on which he will ‘judge the world with justice’ through a man he has appointed, and he has provided confirmation for all by raising him from the dead.”
Just as some did when Paul spoke all those centuries ago, some still scoff at the “resurrection” and turn away from salvation. Some still think they have time to do their thing then, return to the faith and spend eternity with God. If one walks away from the “fire of the spirit” eventually, their fervor for the faith cools, they become lukewarm (Rev 3), then become cold. This is acedia, which turns into “loss of faith”. The door on which many of us today are knocking. The door satan has propped open and is waiting to slam shut as we cross the threshold into “lack of faith”.
