Morning Offering given
Village silent
The snow is gone, just a few little balls on the north slopes.
Spring has arrived, rain appears eminant sometime this weekend,
the gray overcast skies give everything a somber appearance.
Quite fitting for today as Jesus lays in the tomb,
his followers sad and confused over his death.
Fear lurking in their hearts over what now?
Is all lost?
How will we go on?
Hiding away in the Upper Room trying to decide how to continue on.
Quite fitting I would say considering the dilemma the Church is in today.
Splitting into smaller factions, that try to change the way things are looked at under the guise of inclusion.
No wonder we have lukewarm to cold church members as well as those firming faning the light of their faith in hopes of it all coming together again.
It is good to be sad today.
Atleast the sadness is an indication you know something is missing and you want it back.
Don’t give up, the resurrection is coming.
The question is will you be part of it.
Yesterday afternoon I had to make a trip to another town to pick someone up from the hospital. I had seen the churchs full parking lots for services. As I headed towards the hospital I noticed the cars at the church parking lot were now congregating at the local taverns. The tavern parking areas were filled to the brim. I will put it down as everyone went to lunch after the midday services.
Know you are prayed for.
