Happy St Valentine Day.

My Valentine expresses himself almost every morning with an awesome cup of coffee and breakfast.

How’s life going for you? Are you happy or just pretending to be? Abe Lincoln said, ” You are as happy as you make up your mind to be,” I find this to be quite true.

A few weeks back, the deacon of our church spoke of the things we do to fill the empty space we have in our souls. He spoke to the only thing that fills that hole being Christ. I remember that hole, the one that in my early years was a gaping pit. That opens up now and again when I forget to place Christ first. Even at my age, I forget it really isn’t about me. It is not about designer jeans, fancy cars, or the perfect house decorated in the latest fashion. It is not about filling my schedule so full there is no time to contemplate life, family, or to pray.

Try as we might, we cannot pass this on to our children. Oh, we can give them knowledge, show them by example. However, in the end, they much chose to accept Christ as the heart of their being. They must walk their way thru, make the decision, and follow the path.

Joshua 24 speaks to choosing.

Revelation 3:20 speaks to opening your heart to Christ.

Have an awesome day.

Know you are prayed for.

Happy birthday 🎂 to the baby! 21 wow, such a mile stone. All the children are now adults! Does this mean we have officially become elderly?

Three children were baptized last evening at mass. Couples were blessed, and Valentines were gíven to each person with a bit of chocolate.

Today is World Marriage Day. The theme for this year, “Marriage…one flesh, given and received.” Mark 10:6-8. The personal gift of self you give your spouse. Check out foryourmarriage.org/ or twl4parents.com or HelpOurMarriage.org

Coffee excellent

Wonderful surprise last evening DD#5 and husband came up from Oklahoma for her 21st birthday (tomorrow) and Valentine Day. Best surprise!

The spring bulb pot is finished (changed pots). Did I mention I am rooting sweet potatoes for the vines, and a avacado pit to grow a tree. Hopefully it will all happen.

Red hearts still need cutting out, about half finished. Making valentines.

The recent snow melt has gotten me a bit excited about the patio again. I have this vision in my head of a nice flower filled spot to drink morning coffee and watch the sunrise. I am so ready for spring. In actuality, it is more beautiful in my mind than it will ever be in real life.

Then there’s my old friend, the front porch, that gives me a spot to watch the world go by as well as providing a prayer space to hear the bells of Sacred Heart three times a day while praying the Angelus. The big wicker chair is a perfect spot to pray the Rosary, wave from to passersby, or watch the birds. I wish I had known years ago about the importance of a quiet spot in this hectic place called life.

Roses from DD#5 sit on top the home altar that’s cluttered with candles, lists, photos, statues, and scripture. My winter quiet spot that does not see enough of my time or attention.

Coffee tastes and smells wonderful this morning.

Friday has finally arrived. Seems like it was a long time coming this week.

Pray for… dd#3: sobriety, dd#4: special intention, the souls of the faithfully departed in my family, the return of my children to the faith, the baptism and faith instruction of my g’children, health, wellness, and critical thinking for my college g’children.

Catechism in a year continues.

The weather predicted didn’t show up. I PTL for that! Am honestly so done with winter. Hopefully, the sun will shine through the weekend.

Have an awesome day! Take another look at your New Year’s resolutions, don’t give up.

Village silent, snow is coming 95% chance.

Coffee good. The man has eye appointment @ 8am. I’m 🏡 for a bit this morning. Copy jobs finished.

Georgia approved permanent bann on COVID 19 vaccine passport.

So Biden acknowledged his error in judgment regarding the abandonment of fossil fuels. So what’s he going to do to fix the things he’s done that have stopped production and complicated efforts?

How goes the Catechism study? I am finding it very interesting. Lots of things I hadn’t given thought too.

Watchable Reading? Terminal Freeze by Lincoln Child’s for me.

Today’s ponder… Mark 4-6
