The man home late last evening. He brought the girl and her husband with him. Should be a nice weekend

Designed copy work, and ordered needed supplies. Have a run @ 7 and another @9. The plan is to be home by noon. I have no clue why I am working today. Generally, I do not work on weekends.

Looks like old man winter just can’t let it go.

Picked up Jeff Nania’s Musky Run yesterday from the library. Loved it! The suspense almost killed me. The more this man writes the better it gets.

Today is the anniversary of my retirement from law enforcement (1994) Time flies. Also a good reminder of me now being an old fart. Things have changed in that world, some for the better and others for the worse.

Dear God, I know you created my children, not me. You have a special purpose and calling for their lives. Will you show yourself to be real in their lives today? So many temptations vie for their attention, and so much is available without seeking. Stoke in them a hunger for your voice. Delight them in ways only you can, because you know every hair on their heads and every plan in their hearts. Establish their steps, Lord, (Prov. 16:9) so they are seeking wisdom in their decisions based on your truth. Remind them that you alone are God. And when they seek you, Lord, uphold your promise that “those who seek me diligently find me.” (Proverbs 8:17) Heavenly Father, I pray that you will reassure my children that you are love. Remind them when they are lonely, or heartbroken, or scared, that I love them. And even more so, demonstrate to them how your love refills and renews them. May they never feel unloved, no matter how many times the world will certainly hurt them. Impress on their hearts in signs…wonders…or words from those who love them…that they are worthy and loved no matter what mistakes they will surely make, as we all do. Because you give not as the world gives (John 14:27), let their hearts be untroubled and help them not be afraid. Please provide for them, Father, the trust and courage they need to sleep well at night, knowing your plan and power are perfect. Whisper to them that you are their safety and security when the storms of life come through. And that they can rest in the peace of knowing they belong to a family that will always be a safe place to rest their souls. When trouble comes, move in, God. Quiet their minds and hearts if they race with worry… Call them to wherever you know they will find you. Reward them, God, with peace when they choose to not engage in the cultural, political, or other wars that wage division instead of harmony. Build up in their hearts that pursue unity. Speak to their souls to choose compassion, so they can experience it from you as well. Father, you are the only parent who gets it all right. You know what’s best, and only you are the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Remind me to always ask for their forgiveness for the ways I parent poorly, even if my intentions are good. Help them to come to you with all the ways they’ve been hurt, misunderstood, or overlooked. If they experience betrayal, which I pray you would protect them from, please send them a clear sense of your abiding strength, and gently lead them to forgiveness in time. Be merciful to their hurting hearts and please encourage those who’ve hurt them to seek reconciliation. But if reconciliation doesn’t come, can you remind them of how you forgave? Will you heal their broken hearts and bind up their wounds? (Psalm 147:3) Abba, you are the God who sees. I trust that you will leave the 99 to find my adult child and shepherd him into your loving grace. No one walks a perfect line, and you created us to wonder and explore. I place my trust in you that if I do the loving, God, you will do the saving. Find my child wherever they are in their journey and show them your love. Never give up, as your word promises us. Amen

So you’re getting married/or are married

What are you looking for in a mate?

What must be in the equation?

What can never be in it?

Does the person you are checking out know those answers?

Has that person shared the answers with you?

Are you have you shared every single secret in your life?

Have you offered to?

Has that offer been extended to you?

Secrets kill relationships.

Regardless of what it is, don’t keep it from them.

Workout the issues before you marry.

The man catching the last few winks before he heads off to get the RV from Sess & Kris. Please offer a few prayers that the trip is calm, without incident, and short.

Short copy job completed.

Today we remember the birthday of Doug Bachman. May he rest in peace.

Gas prices keep raising. Groceries do too. If you factor in the cost of living today and what you receive as income you are making less than people did back in the 80’s. The dollars in your pocket are worth less than they were in the ’80’s. Your box of breakfast cereal costs more and contains less. Your car costs more and contains less. We’ve been duped into thinking we are ahead when in fact, we are way behind; financially, materially, and spiritually… you can change that by using critical thinking. By thinking it thru instead of swallowing all the garbage given to you.

Find ways to step out in faith today. Take the risk and share your faith. Ask the Holy Spirit for help.

Today ‘is Jason C’s anniversary of his 1st Holy Communion (2009)

In the margins…Often we attach ourselves—and our ability to be happy—on a desired outcome, only to find ourselves disappointed when that outcome doesn’t happen. Learn how you can let go and start living from a place of happiness.

Fr H reminded me this morning of what St Alphonsus said…“Prayer is, beyond a doubt, the most powerful weapon the Lord gave us to conquer evil…but we must really put ourselves into the prayer, it is not enough to just say the words, it must come from the heart. And also prayer needs to be continuous, we must pray no matter what kind of situation we find ourselves in; the warfare we are engaged in is ongoing, so our prayer must be on-going also.”

Interesting article… https://www.betterup.com/blog/how-to-find-yourself I smile at the “finding yourself” statement back in the day that was the go-to for rebellion. I found this to be something to ponder.

Anniversary greetings to Chris & Jody (1998), remembering my VDF and George’s anni (1944) may they rest in peace

Looks like snow on the ground will be short-lived. Rain is to come in sometime overnight, and today’s temps are to reach the 50s. Gotta love Mother Nature.

Life is a gift. It comes from God. If you have been searching for something that will fill that hole in your heart/head I must tell you that particular spot can only be filled with Christ. If Christ is not there no matter what you do, what you achieve, how much you have, and how successful you are…will not fill it. You will always have that empty spot and thought “Is this all there is?”. That empty spot can be filled with all sorts of good and bad things, but unless you put Christ in it you will feel some sort of emptiness, loss, and unfulfillment. Trust me on this.

I seem to have lost some phone #s. Hate it when that happens. Probably has something to do with getting rid of FB. Hope you all have a great day.
