CIY Day 49… nothing should take precedence over the work of God

Whatcha reading? “The President’s Daughter” I think it will be a struggle to finish it.

The man sleeps. Our weekend is planned to be uneventful. I smile, that rarely happens.

The honey-do list continues to be long. Seems each time one is crossed off, two are added. Patience…

Know you are prayed for.

Village quiet, except for very low flying plane @ 5am

Steady but not over busy day.

Have a few projects to finish up today, as well as some supplies to purchase. The house could use a deep clean. I need to plan a garage sale. The vehicles need a deep clean as well but will have to settle with a wash and vacc for now.

CIY…how’s it going for you?

Whatcha reading?

Skies are grey

Winter is trying to hold on with dipping temps and snowflakes, the birds, however, are convinced Spring is almost upon us. They are checking out the birdhouses and the hanging feeders; getting the lay of the land. Rabbits are venturing out of burrows more frequently. Squirrels are playing catch me if you can.

We are ready for Spring to arrive. Winter has aged us this year. Aches and pains seem to be felt sooner. The desire to sit and watch the world go by is more prominent than being motivated to start a new project or finish an old one.

The honey do list grows longer, as does the realization we can no longer get it done like we used to. Funny how the mind is willing, but the body says “Whoa! Wait just one minute, think about this.”

Onward to a new normal, thankful our minds are still young even as our bodies age.

Village quiet &chilly this morning

Coffee’s good. Almost spit it out, though, when I read the CDC had issued tracking codes for vaxx and unvaxxed on medical insurance forms, and all facilities that accept insurance are required to use them. So today I ponder why? What is the purpose?

Is the CDC tracking other things as well? How does one know? Are they tracking gender issues, or attempted suicides, or HIV? Are they tracking other vaccinations? What else do they track, and how does one find out?

It feels like the movie 1984. If you haven’t seen it, you should.

Of course, I am old-fashioned, some say, not up with the times, afraid of change, etc.

Far from it is my response. I’m trying to wake up the younger generation so they stop allowing their freedoms to be taken away. Hopefully, they will wake up before all are lost.

My sympathy to the Kircher family on the loss of their pet, Tiger.

Lent begins in 7 days.  Sorta crept right in there quickly this year.

For those who have no clue to what Lent is…this is the time of year we look at the 40 days Jesus spent in the desert, the period of preparation for Christ’s resurrection at Easter. We seek a personal relationship with Christ by reading scripture, giving alms, sharing time, talent, and practicing self-control thru fasting. We are called to abstain from luxuries. We recall our baptism, and we seek to begin anew our life in Christ.

LENT…Living in Eternity Necessitates Transformation.

02.14.2023…Valentine’s Day

Happy St Valentine Day.

My Valentine expresses himself almost every morning with an awesome cup of coffee and breakfast.

How’s life going for you? Are you happy or just pretending to be? Abe Lincoln said, ” You are as happy as you make up your mind to be,” I find this to be quite true.

A few weeks back, the deacon of our church spoke of the things we do to fill the empty space we have in our souls. He spoke to the only thing that fills that hole being Christ. I remember that hole, the one that in my early years was a gaping pit. That opens up now and again when I forget to place Christ first. Even at my age, I forget it really isn’t about me. It is not about designer jeans, fancy cars, or the perfect house decorated in the latest fashion. It is not about filling my schedule so full there is no time to contemplate life, family, or to pray.

Try as we might, we cannot pass this on to our children. Oh, we can give them knowledge, show them by example. However, in the end, they much chose to accept Christ as the heart of their being. They must walk their way thru, make the decision, and follow the path.

Joshua 24 speaks to choosing.

Revelation 3:20 speaks to opening your heart to Christ.

Have an awesome day.

Happy birthday 🎂 to the baby! 21 wow, such a mile stone. All the children are now adults! Does this mean we have officially become elderly?
